Took possession of our house June 2020. The building process was good, staff was helpful.
Since moving in, trying to have repairs done is a hugh challenge.
They promise everything and anything, but haven't finished the deficiencies that their trades created.
I even we to new home warranty for arbitration and McKee declined to participate, but promised work would be completed within a month and a half.
I live beside there show home and the weed and grass is 4 feet high. Have even contacted the Owner of McKee along with almost everyone else in the company. More promised and nothing has be done.
I the community I live in there are two builder a d the other on is just as bad. Although we like this community, the builds only want your money and then good luck. The picture is much yard and McKee show home in the background

Contrary to previous reviews - we had a much better experience with McKee ...... overall we were pleased with their products, building quality and building process. We experienced no price surprises when the last nail was driven in and we were moving into our new home.

With every builder there is going to be construction issues. I believe this company has bitten off way more than they can chew and don't have the proper processes in place to keep up with all the work they have signed up with. There are some great staff but they all have way way way to much to do resulting in mistakes and missed items and taking a long time to get things corrected. This for us has resulted in some really unbelievable corrections having to be made during the construction phase. Its fortunate for them that they were found fairly early (by us) as it likely saved them thousands and thousands of dollars. We are a year in our home and still trying to get things corrected and finished. So tiring to organize the trades days and take the time off work. I would only use them again if they kept true to their motto " to bring the highest degree of craftsman ship and service to each home we build" tough to do when there doesn't feel that there is the ownership that was promised. Keep trying and hopefully get back to the roots that McKee was built on.

I would never build with McKee again… it the second time we had built a home so we expected a cetin amount if stress, but we where never prepared for what McKee offered. I will list a few of the issues below * Forgot a window when framing - was fixed after we informed the builder
* Forgot to install phone jacks in the home - fixed by running phone cord threw the cold air intake vents and cutting holes in the floor and wall.
* Flooring in the home installed 3 times, 1st time it was damaged by trades, 2nd time it was laid incorrectly and had to be removed, 3rd floor still in the home but it was glued incorrect and the seams are lifting.
* ½ wall going up the stairs did not meet code and had to be repaired after possession
* countertop was installed to low and appliances did not fit.
These are issues from a very long list. We have been in our home for a 11/2 years and have had over 20 trades days and are still waiting to have a few issues dealt with. Be very careful when choosing your home builder, do you research and ask for references you can call.
