The pickup crew was NOT there on the scheduled day which I only found out about when I called at 5pm the day before the move to find out when they would arrive the next morning. The reason for the delay was there was NO TRUCK? I do wonder what would have happened if I hadn't called just a NO SHOW I assume since no one reached out to us. Rest of the move was no better.

Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about Rawlinson. If I hadn't checked on time of arrival they would have shown up a day late to pack; they were unable to pack everything into the two trucks they brought and unless I had hounded them would have not returned to pick up the balance of my household goods, which they did two days later; delivered initial shipment two days late necessitating an unplanned hotel stay; very rough in packing and handling the furniture damaging countless pieces and actually puncturing holes in the sides of cartons; balanced of goods arrived weeks later and even then actual pieces were missing.
Too bad the owner doesn't critic his own company on Market Place versus telling you how bad other companies are.

Our furniture was packed up in Burlington and moved into storage before delivery in Ottawa scheduled for June 21. Two trucks arrived on June 21. One of the trucks was well packed and the second truck was full of our furniture but everything seemed to have been thrown into the back of the truck. Furniture padding had been removed in some cases and it was quickly apparent that several items had been damaged. When we brought the damage to the attention of the driver he showed us the sheets from when the truck was loaded which indicated the furniture was scratched and worn. There was no point in trying to make a claim. In addition we were told that the lift truck at their warehouse was broken so some of our furniture (including all the bedrails, dining room table and all the patio furniture) was left behind in Mississauga with no idea of when it would be delivered. The set up box was with the stuff in Mississauga so the feet for the couch, bed hardware, shelf pins etc were missing. Many phone calls and emails followed. Emails were never replied to even when the management team was cc'd. Phonecalls were ignored. Apparently this is a busy time of year for them. Too busy obviously to be professional and courteous. The rest of our furniture finally arrived July 10 after we threatened to sue them.

The movers showed up 90 minutes late, I had to call the dispatch center to find out where my crew was , they were never dispatched. Moving company sent a truck with three men , I want a truck with three movers. I ordered 5 clothes boxes , they sent 2. Sad day when homeowner is the hardest working crew member . Disappointed because I paid for a service which was terrible . No follow up call too Jim!

I could not be more satisfied with my experience with Rawlinson Moving & Storage. I moved from Bentonville, Arkansas to Toronto, Canada - over 1000 miles, crossing an international border in the midst of the pandemic. Before speaking with Jim & team, I was very intimidated by the process. Reading the forms the various governmental bodies provide you, you feel like a criminal before you've loaded a box. The Rawlinson team completely dispelled this fear, breaking the move down into simple steps and taking the time to make sure I understood at every juncture.

The one hiccup I experienced (not in any way service-related), was clearing my possessions at Canada Customs. They required me to print off certain documents and come back - a journey that would have taken me 2 hours had I not been able to print at Rawlinson. Jim personally stayed at the office for an hour and a half past closing to help me get these goods cleared. He, and the entire Rawlinson team, are truly exceptional individuals.

The moving crew are polite, punctual and respectful.Upon arrival, floors are protected with quilted clean mats. I have used their packing service recently, when my dear mom died.Paintings were crated with care, crystal and fine china was packed as if they were owned by the Queen of England.Moving can be stressful, but
Rawlinson Movers always gives our family peace of mind.

We have used Rawlinson four times now having helped our daughters and their moves over the last few years. Each time, the company and its representatives have been on time, courteous, and very fair with every one of us. Our most recent move was early October, 2020. We would definitely use them again.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank the crew at Rawlinson Moving. The consultant and office staff were pleasant to deal with from our first phone conversation. The crew arrived on time and were extremely cordial even though our move took place on one of the hottest days of the summer. We couldn’t believe how quick the crew moved and how much energy they brought. They were especially careful when it came to COVID-19 safety protocol. The way they loaded our possessions in the moving truck was masterful to say the least as I did not think they were going to fit it all in. It was definitely a game of Tetris. Kudos to Allan and his crew – absolutely remarkable service! We would highly recommend Rawlinson Moving and will be using them for any future moves.

Rawlinson moved us from Milton to Guelph Ontario. Julian and crew were amazing. They arrived on time and took great care with our belongings. They were very organized and super friendly. It was a worry free move thanks to them. Would use them again in a heartbeat.
