I first looked at using Go Minis as they had good advertising and promised to beat any price. They were about $10 less per month than the more popular Pods and the pick up and drop of fee's are less as well. The site is easy to use and the people on the phone were great to talk to and explained everything clearly, including suggesting they would be at my home between 9-11am. So I took the day off and enlisted some help so I could load the pod to get ready for construction the following week. I then called around 10:30 and was told one of the 2 drivers they have called in sick so they were down to just one. She thought that maybe they could make it here after 12. I suggested if they experience a scheduling issue they should call their customers to give them a heads up. This was not really welcome advise and we said our goodbyes. At 2 PM I called again and was told he should be here within one hour. I called my friends and said its not going to work out and thanked them for offering to help. I ran a quick errand and rushed back to try and make it back in time. When I got back at 310 they had not yet been. I called AGAIN at 345 and was told he is on his was and stuck on the 401. I suggested again that they could have simply called me on the cell I provided so I could manage my day doing some errands as I had already booked a vacation day for this. The lady I spoke to would hear none of it saying they don't have time to call their clients and its out of their control. I get that life happens but by simply communicating more effectively with their clients would allow them to adjust their day and be more productive. I asked if they would compensate me somehow, maybe credit half a month or something just to recognize the fact that they put myself and friends who offered to help in a tough spot. She got her back up and when I pushed it a bit she hung upon me. Someone needs some customer service training. This whole incident could have been avoided if they simply called to say their are delays. That I understand. Not communicating and getting kissed off at your client for being upset about wasting the entire day I do NOT understand. When the driver arrived he was amazing. Tired as he had to do the work of two but very nice. Learn to communicate at HQ and I would have given this 5 stars.
