We had purchased a large glass coffee table with marble support from Big Comfort at the Home Renovation show. They said it was out of stock and would take 6-8 weeks to receive which would make it early December. We received a call a week or two before we were to get it saying that it was still backordered and that it would not be here until late January and we said that we still wanted it and would wait for it to come in January. It has finally arrived and now it needed to be delivered. After 3 botched attempts of the company to deliver it, I had had enough. I had to take days off work to make myself available for the delivery. They promised to deliver it one day and not show up and another day we would receive a message saying that they tried to deliver it but no one had called to arrange the delivery day beforehand so how were we supposed to know that they were coming. They were mad because we were not home and said we need to pay for the delivery again. I called the store to talk to the manager and said this was ridiculous and that I was so mad that I wanted a refund after the poor treatment and taking days off work. He said that they promised that they would deliver the next day and gave me a 2 hour window so that I wouldn't have to wait all day. I agreed to let them try and deliver it one more time. They come on time to deliver and starting unpacking it. The coffee table was broken and beyond repair. The delivery guys were helpful and called the manager to let him know about the breakage. They asked if I still wanted to take the bottom which was still intact. I said no, what was the point? The manager wanted to leave the bottom here and charge me for that portion while I waited for a new glass top to come in (again another 6-8 weeks hopefully). I said that was enough. I had waited almost 6 months to receive this coffee table had horrible service so I wanted a refund. He said that they did not give refunds and only an in-store credit plus the cost of restocking fee. I said how can you charge me a restocking fee when I never received it? I said that I didn't agree with this and that it was not settled. I went in person to the store to talk to another manager and said that I would not be satisfied unless I received a full refund. They tried to get me to take an in-store credit again and I said after the horrible experience I had with your company do you really think I would want any furniture from you? He reluctantly agreed and said it would be a couple of weeks for the accounting department to process the refund. Fortunately we were fully refunded and have never gone back there again.
