Boston Roofing & Aluminum Contractors

Three years ago we hired Boston Roofing to replace our old shingles etc. Not only were they great (patient) and friendly to deal with, but were professional in their installation and clean-up.

So why didn't I write this review of praise until now? I can't really answer that, but more importantly, I am going to praise their after-service: 3 years later! After the recent windstorm, we called for them to check something and they came very quickly. These guys have been in business for quite a while and this shows why.

I used Boston Roofing to repair some damage to my roof caused by the wind storm in the GTA recently. Carlo and Boston Roofing came to the rescue and when Carlo arrived he assured me that he would fix it the right way. Truly giving meaning to his company moto "doing it right the first time". He did an excellent job and repaired the wind damage perfectly. Carlo truly treated me "like family". Thanks Carlo! I should also mention that Boston Roofing did my entire roof, eaves, soffits, and siding a few years ago and I have been very pleased with it ever since. I'm glad Boston Roofing was able to repair it after the wind storm to bring back to it's perfect original condition.

Excellent serivce and repsonse time from Boston Roofing. We had damage from the horrendous wind storm. Office staff took don the information and within a couple of hours a servcie truck was here despite the fact they must have been extremely busy. Sal & his partnter were ver proffesional -- completed the job quickly and cleaned up.

I called Boston Roofing and spoke with Sal. We had some roof damage due to the recent high winds in our area. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave me an overview of how they would cost the job, along with a description of the work they would likely need to do to repair the roof in cold weather. He promised that a crew would be by that afternoon. True to his word, they showed up later in the day and made the repairs quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this company based upon this experience.

I have had two occasions to use Boston Roofing - once on my home and once on a rental house - and both times Boston Roofing provided excellent service and did an outstanding job. They stood out from other roofing companies right from the beginning: they answered my phone calls and, if I left a message, returned my calls promptly. For the repair on my home, I had a pretty bad leak; they sent out a crew the same day to secure a tarp on my house and stop the leak until they could schedule a full roof repair. And for both roof replacements, they advised me on the best quality product I should use and offered it at a very competitive price - I know this because I did call a number of other companies for comparative quotes. The next time I need a roof repaired, I will just make one call: to Boston Roofing.

Carlo and Boston Roofing get top marks from me. Carlo went to bat for me when I was up against a shingle manufacturer who failed to live up to their warranty. Carlo took photos and samples of the inferior quality shingles. Carlo was able to convince the manufacturer that they were inferior and he was able to get the manufacturer to live up to the warranty. Boston Roofing has just now replaced my roof and it looks great!

We had estimates from 5 companies, all with excellent reviews on Homestars and we are very happy that we chose Boston Roofing. We think they stand head and shoulders above other more well-known and reputable roofing companies and we can say only very good things about them. Brian came to give us the estimate in 24hours after we called, explained in great detail what they would do including showing us pictures he took of our roof. Carlo spend a lot of time explaining us the options and we were able to see samples of all the materials that were to be used - from the shingles to the vents that were installed. Their pricing is competitive and they did not sell more than was needed. The company is truly family owned and operated; Carlo's two sons were part of the crew that installed our roof. They booked the work to accommodate our schedule and came for the installation on the date and time it was scheduled. They were polite and courteous and worked with care, protecting the area around the house and left the grounds spotless at the end. They did an excellent job and it was a pleasure to have them do work at our house. Thank you Carlo, Brian, Alex, Luis, Marco, Nathan and Lucio! If all the contractors would be like you, homeowners would have less grey hair !

Carlo is the owner of Boston Roofing. He is incredible and stands by the work done by him and his crews. He really wants to do a good job and does just that. He provides excellent customer service, workmanship, and materials. I would not hesitate to call Boston Roofing. One time I emailed him, and within 1/2 hour Carlo was at my house to investigate my concerns personally. Really this guy and company are one of a kind. As discussed they delivered.

From the beginning of receiving a quote, of the three companies we interviewed they were the most informative. They applied honesty and did not try to sell more than was needed.

This approach continued when they called in advance and very clearly informed of the hazards and expectations. E.g. delivery of materials, dumpster, and to watch for nails during the build.

Then they arrived and started and completed as much as could be done in a day. They left in the evenings with the mess relatively cleaned up. Ever conscientious of our garden and walkways, boards were placed to protect screen doors and tarps laid out to catch nails. On the last day they cleaned thoroughly.

We were very impressed by their professionalism, always warm and welcoming. The company is run by a father and son team.

And the roof? We will have to wait a few years to see if it holds up but we are pretty confident that it will!
