This is the second time I have used Gallo Bros Paving and would recommend them without hesitation. They are very professional and their work is excellent.

Excellent preparation on schedule.Pavement well done with proper drainage after acceptable settlement time. Quality workmanship and commercial grade asphalt. Would highly recommend.

We had our driveway paved May 2017 by Gallo Brothers paving.

We thought they did a great job.

The following May (2018), we had a crack right across the driveway, we called them and they came and did a patch. Which consisted of broken pieces of asphalt and a propane torch, trying to melt it into the crack, which is not effective at all, nor is it a repair.

Then the following spring (2019), we had the same crack, but a little bit bigger. Also some cracking and a dip further up the driveway. We called them and they repaired the same crack. Same results with the patch, not effective at all.

Well this spring (2020), same crack only bigger, and the dip with all kinds of cracks. It is almost October, no one has come. We have called, texted and emailed. Their rep said they weren’t coming to patch it every year and we said good, we want it fixed instead.

We spent $20,000 on this driveway. It replaced a 37 year old driveway, and we don’t feel our driveway should have these cracks right from the beginning.

They told us the driveway shifted and that it is basically our fault. They took our our 37 year old driveway and didn’t disturb the base. Extremely hard to believe the bed moved after 37 years.

We also have an area where the pieces are breaking off due to it being a low spot, where water is just sitting there.

Had driveway paved Nov 2018. Went with Gallo as they had done two driveways in our old neighbourhood that looked great. Spring 2019 had a hole in driveway with crumble on the top in several other spots. Took about a dozen phone calls to get a response. The repairs were never done. Spring 2020 have made several calls with no response. When the head office was called they really didn't care. They just said deal with your original sales rep.

Booked them in March and finally completed end of August.
They installed 1 foot interlock border on the sides+2 foot curve at garage and then pavement in between which was thousands less than other companies (for just asphalt). Highly recommend this construction as it ensures a good 2.5-3 inches thickness of asphalt.

However, organization and communication is poor. Different parts of the family do different pieces (cousin does interlock, etc). They called in May and June to come do the pavement where I responded "don't you have to do the interlock first?" which then required me contacting the brother to coordinate and it finally got done in late July. Then asphalt in late August.

Was frustrating having to constantly coordinate with them and I booked March hoping to get it done early and not wait all summer.
Becomes a decision between cost vs time/service. However it does look good and will see how it lasts.

We contracted Gallo on Apr 20 to remove the old asphalt and re pave on our residential driveway. Approximately 2 months later they removed the asphalt after numerous calls as to when they were going to do our driveway. After they removed they told us to let sit for 3 weeks then they will come back to pave. We called numerous different times thereafter and were constantly put off each week due to other contract they have taken on. It is now 4 months later and we have not heard from them. I would not recommend this company

Looked great when it was done. Sadly didn't make it through the winter. Lots of weeds and plants popping through and cracks. Will likely need to re do whole driveway.

The company has a long history and operates on its own schedule. They are busy and keeping customers informed is not top priority. We weren't really sure exactly when they were arriving to do the work. Our job wasn't simply repaving we had a foot of an old concrete driveway under the ashphalt driveway and they had to remove all of it. It took several trucks and none of us including the men working on knew how deep it went. It was a big job excavating and there was a lot of cable and underground pipes but they were really careful. The job was completed as promised and it's been 1-2 years and it looks good no cracks or weeds so we're satisfied. #flashprizefriday

Had Gallo pave my driveway a few years ago. Immediately there were issues. weeds growing up through the driveway all over the place.. Called for the entire summer only to have them come back in September to repair it.. The next spring the weeds came back and it took the entire summer to get Gallo back to repair it.. The next summer the weeds came back.. I'm not talking about one or two spots.. There are 20-50 weeds growing out of my driveway down the side.. Terrible job!

They completed the work quickly and the driveway looks great.
They damaged the garage door when paving the driveway and told us to have it fixed and send them the bill - good customer service.
