After being phoned many times by this company, we finally agreed to have our carpets cleaned. Two persons showed up in a van, brought out a hand-operated electric carpet cleaner and a spray container. I asked if it was as effective as the large units usually used to clean carpets. I was assured that it was. I had been told on the phone that it would take about an hour and a half. In just over 30 minutes I was presented with the bill which was higher than expected. After some feeble explanations I paid the bill. After they left we checked the floors. One bedroom was soaking wet and the other was bone dry. My wife rubbed a dry cloth over the wet rug and it came up dirty. We quickly came to the conclusion that only one bedroom and the hallway and stairs had been attended to. I called the number on the bill and a message was left and when the call was returned my wife asked for a refund as we were unsatisfied. They agreed to give a refund and said it would be done after the weekend. On Monday I called to confirm and was given a phone number to text with my email address so that an e-transfer could be done. After a few reminders it finally came on Thursday that week. But, the refund was just for one room, due to our "dissatisfaction". While we appreciated the gesture, a full refund would have been more appropriate as we were dissatisfied with the job they did. Next time I'll do my due diligence and check for reviews, etc., before hiring.
