I cannot say enough about how incredibly frustrated I am with the non-service I have received from Reliance. To cut a very long story short, I have spent hours on the phone attempting to explain to various service reps that their hot water tank has malfunctioned. This incompetent company has no record of our new hot water tank, installed on November 1, 2011, after 3 missed/cancelled appts. One rep was insolent enough to say that it was not their tank, although my husband was standing right in front of it reading the name and phone number off the tank! They did finally agree to send someone out to look at it (after 1 hr on the phone) and it seemed fine after that - for 2 wks. Then - no hot water. Called again that night and they said I would receive a call in the morning. Caller in the morning could not find my acct so refused service again. After much irate phone calling ("Alex" the first "supervisor" agreed to give us a "direct" phone number so we would not have to explain again - turned out that it was a voicemail # and Alex has NEVER phoned me back), Hazel agreed to send out a technician to verify that it was indeed their tank and fix the problem. Unfortunately, it's a defective part that keeps causing the pilot light to go out and now I have to check every day to make sure it's on if I'm to have hot water. The part has been ordered, no idea how long it will take. I have also had to call to get them to set up a billing acct for me. That will no longer be necessary as I will be contacting another company ASAP to have another water tank installed. I have tried contacting the company's "local" phone number, it just sends me to the national toll free #. I have tried to write a review on their website and I keep getting sent to Google Maps? Obviously, their service department is overworked, understaffed, or does not care to provide any customer satisfaction. Shame on you!
