Called Murray to inquire about repairing my Dryer that was not heating up. Was advised the heater would probably have to be replaced and an appointment was made for him to repair the Dryer 2 days later. Murray showed up on the date agreed and determined the thermostat was the problem and replaced it. Total cost for 45 minutes of work, $230 plus tax which included a 3 month warranty. Murray offers a $10 discount in exchange for a 5 star review. This made me question the other positive reviews I've seen on-line. 2 Months later, the Dryer is experiencing the same problem?! Now I am annoyed because I paid $230 plus tax and he didn't repair the Dryer properly. Tried calling to get it repaired again but he was on holidays for 2 weeks. Called him back after his holiday and was told he would need to order a replacement part. He then called me back on a Thursday evening requesting to come Friday morning. Advised that I need more notice and requested that he come on a Saturday. He agreed but could not give me an estimated time? Advised to call me when he knows. Saturday morning arrives and he just shows up at 9am without calling in advance or confirming a time. I was not at home and my Wife questioned why he didn't call or let me know what time he was coming so I would be home. Murray got upset, raised his voice and started arguing with my wife with my kids in the house!! He then picked up his bag and said "Take me to court". He had no intentions of honouring the warranty on his invoice. My wife kicked him out. He has a very bad attitude and will constantly refer to his old age. Being a senior does not give anyone the right to be disrespectful, especially if you didn't fix a product properly. **** I do NOT recommend that you use Murray's Appliance Service for your repair **** Pay attention to the other Negative Reviews.
