kitchen renovation, new countertops

We decided on quartz for the countertops of our kitchen renovation. Pacific Stone Fabrication carried the CaesarStone design that we wanted, and they had good prices with the RenovationFind discount, so we went with them.
We paid in full a few days prior to the installation. On installation day the countertops fell off the ramp of the truck and damaged one of the slabs.
After contacting the company, we were told that there was a slab of the same dye-lot in Edmonton. We were not given a timeline for the repairs, and had to follow up with a number of different staff in order to finally have a new slab installed 6 weeks later. At this point were were very disappointed in the extreme lack of communication we received from the company during this process.
The second installation, didn't go alot better than the first. Although the installers were very friendly, professional, and arrived more prepared this time, once the slab was installed we noticed several 4 to 8 inch scratches and gouges on the slab. In addition to this, the edge profile had been cut wrong, as well as the corner radius. The installers said that they would leave the damaged slab while they found another one to match the dye-lot. We voiced our concern with the lack of communication from the company and long time time frame to ship the slab. We were told that we would hear from someone that night, or the next day to follow up.
Four days later, we still had not heard from the company. At this point, I decided to call the manager of the company. He was not in the office at the time, so I left a voicemail. To this day, I have not heard back from him.
We texted the installers, and they said it was already scheduled for a Friday delivery. They showed up on time, took the old scratched slab, replaced it with the new one. The new one was cut right and installed properly.
We are satisfied with the CaesarStone Quartz product, but are very disappointed with this companies lack of communication and how long it took fix their mistake. As it stands now, we would not recommend this company.
