Kitchen counter tops and backsplash, poor workmanship

Island Granite has great selection and prices. Be sure to get a layout of dimensions prior to fabrication for your verification and educate yourself on proper installation standards to make sure they follow them. Check all details as the job progresses as they are willing to correct oversights, but only if you find them early enough and are aware of what to look for. Provide your own color matched high grade paintable latex caulk for wall seams as they use regular white like most installers. Stone cuts will not be laser perfect, but mostly satisfactory. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Approximate cost of services:
$9,900.00

Company Response

As you have edited you review, I shall in-turn edit my response.

As every business knows, there's always that one customer that is just never satisfied with the work you do. Lionel happens to be this years edition of "I'll raise a storm to get a discount because I like trying to destroy small family-owned businesses, because I'm an American and I know better".

We ignored the red flags he raised that help us identify the "Karens" of the customer world from the normal customers.

He complained about his cabinet maker and about how the installer didn't know what he was doing. Lionel told us the cabinet installer packed up his tools and left. We called up his cabinet maker to get the full story. (This was AFTER we had dealt with Lionel) The owner reported that his installer had has never, in his 20 years of experience, had someone breathing down his neck more than Lionel.

The issue is not the quality of the product, as industry standard is always met; It is the merit of the man behind the review, who has tossed their self-respect into the wind with the expectation that by doing so they can save a few dollars.
