Reliance Red-Tagged my furnace but refused to show me the actual measurement of Carbon Monoxide in the outside exhaust. This is a tactic they use to force an unnecessary purchase of a new furnace.

When they red-tag or tell you that there is carbon monoxide, ALWAYS demand to see the actual measurement. There is a printed report from the detection device. Regulations require that they provide that to you.

I called Reliance because the furnace sounded loud. The Technician red-tagged the furnace which means it has to be disconnected from gas supply and cannot be turned on. He said the Carbon Monoxide levels in the exhaust going outside were too high (his red-tag form just said "CO level High). But he refused to show me the measurement or any report showing what the Carbon Monoxide levels in the exhaust.

I learned after the fact that technicians are required in the regulations to provide a report.
I'm going to file a complaint with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority

I called the company and they send a technician.

worst customer service for something i pay monthly to ensure i get service. Have toilet issues and unable to use and Reliance is not able to come fix or even look at for over a month and a half. Wonder how long they would last if they didn't have a working toilet. Very disappointed and now will have to pay to have a plumber come to house.

In June 2023 we bought a Trane 2 ½ tonne air conditioner. The subcontractor who did the installation did and excellent job and deserves 5 stars. However, we were to receive a Trane Weather Guard Top to protect the AC that sits near a big cedar edge and trees. We contacted them a few times (it is hard to get in touch with their sale service) to inquire when we will receive the Trane Weather Guard Top. The replies we got went from; its on its way, to the unit is on back order, to it was mailed to you (but we never received it). Finally, five months later mid November, a technician showed up at our house but delivered an AC cover (that we already had) and not the Trane Weather Guard Top as we agreed in late June.
Trane Air Conditioner supply parts are hard to get and after sale service is also hard to get from Ottawa Reliance Home Comfort.

Every month the customer service escalates the problem
16 months or more and the issue still unsolved every cal, of course, more than 45 minutes
Frustration for such inefficiency

When you rent from Reliance they put a lien on the whole hous. For a few thousand dollars they are holding hostage my entire house.

What at first I thought was great service quickly became a nightmare experience.
This company offers a 100% money back guarantee and what they call a 10d cooling off period to return equipment.
From the day the heat pump was installed there was issues and now the furnace and heat pump are not heating or cooling my house. After almost 3 months trying to get hold of this company I am left with out getting emails and phone calls returned and they are trying to charge me $1500 money to take back their equipment that doesnt work. Do not fall for their guarantees. I now have a $13,000 heating and cooling system that doesnt work for my home and they are doing nothing about it except giving me the run around for 3 months!!!!!!!

Read this before you think of signing up with them: if could give them minus 5 stars I would. Electrician showed up and sat in his car for 25 minutes and fixed nothing. Told me his time was up when he came back in to the house and refused to check anything that was broken. Said there would be a charge if he had to check the same issue again. He first tried telling me it was a lightbulb issue and then told me I would need to have the fixtures replaced.

If this post can reach anyone- DO NOT sign up for electric protection plan. We had them come 3 times and all 3 times they told me it couldnt be fixed or they would charge me for it. The monthly fee is a huge waste of money. You are better off hiring an electrician and paying a one time fee.
