I loved the Boxed Inn crew. They were 15 minutes early to start my move and the guys were courteous and quick. I had a lot of large pieces that needed to be moved and they had no problem getting them through the tight spaces in my house. The supplies that were provided from the store we reliable as well. All in all I had a fabulous experience with this company I have recommended it to many of my friends and family

We had used Boxed Inn to move twice before and have never had an experience like we had this time. We were assigned 4 guys from Boxed Inn to move from one house to another (within 5 minutes of each other). We had a 53' storage trailer to pack as well as the Boxed Inn truck. The guys were very slow on the first day and about half of our belongings were moved. Also on the first day one of they guys hurt himself and was unable to help on Day 2. They came back the second day, less the 4th guy, finished loading the rest of our belongings into their truck. My family and our neighbours started unloading the 53' trailer before the Boxed Inn movers even got back. They left the old house and took almost 2 hours to get to the new house. For part of the time they were there, they watched us unload the trailer without offering assistance. Since the trailer had to be returned by 6:30 pm, there was some urgency to get it unloaded. They began helping us when the trailer was half empty. Everything was unloaded onto the driveway and into the garage. Once everything was on the driveway, the guys said they had to leave, which was shocking, to say the least and that the bill was $3200.00. After some discussion, they stayed and helped with the heavy furniture, leaving us to clear the rest of the boxes on the driveway ourselves. We discovered that boxes CLEARLY marked "DO NOT STACK" had heavy boxes on top of them. They damaged furniture and gouged the walls of the new house (of which I have pictures). When the owner of Boxed Inn was confronted, he gave attitude and didn't care that we were not happy with the services. He showed previous positive testimonials and used them as a blanket to cover all of his crews. These testimonials were for other crews that actually did do a good job. DO NOT use their services. We will NEVER recommend the Boxed Inn for anything to anyone. Anyone that we have recommended Boxed Inn to has been told of our experience and not to use them EVER. If you want value for your money and movers that care about you and your belongings DO NOT USE BOXED INN. Moving is stressful enough without having the moving company add to your stress.

Boxed Inn was the worst experience I've ever had with movers. In my parents' move into a new home, they sent 4 guys, 2 of whom were really young and inexperienced, to a very large job. The Boxed Inn crew had no straps or special equipment, moved slowly and inefficiently and required constant direction and instruction, some of which had to be repeated multiple times.

It took them almost an hour to drive from house to house, which is, at best, a 10-minute drive. A large percentage of the hauling of boxes and furniture was actually done by family and neighbours, who stepped in when they realized how slowly the crew was moving. My family has used crews from Boxed Inn before, and they did a move this size BY THEMSELVES in LESS time.

We spoke to the owner of Boxed Inn, and he was unwilling to discount the rate or even admit that there was a problem. Granted, the crew that was there put in a lot of hours, and returned for a second day to finish the job even though they weren't booked for it. (We are not disputing that they worked hard.) However, it was the opinion of everyone else involved that they could have worked far more efficiently and gotten things done much faster. I don't know what we would have done without the help of the new neighbours. Honestly, if we could have found a couple of more friends with a truck, we could have spent a lot less than $3600 for a similar result.

Who would pay almost $4000 for a move and have to do it themselves? Isn't that the point of hiring movers?

When we went into the store to speak to him, the owner of Boxed Inn took offense at our complaints, yelled at us, and refused to accommodate us or acknowledge our complaints in any way. He stated that the move was bigger than we had originally indicated (though no one came to take a look and estimate). Also, on the first day, one of the senior movers injured his foot, and on the second day the crew was only 3 - one older guy and two kids. But we were still charged the same hourly rate.

Even a token discount would have been appreciated, but the owner of Boxed Inn had no interest in providing us with good customer service. He was belligerent and was only interested in defending his crew from our "unfounded" complaints - and getting paid.

I would NEVER recommend Boxed Inn movers to anyone, and if there was any way to give it a negative score, I would.

Don was very helpful with his quote and assessment over the phone.
He sent 3 men to move my house; and they were efficient, helpful and good problem solvers.
The move had a lot of glitches, and the men went with the flow, and did everything they could to ensure there was as little downtime as possible.
Boxed Inn is definitely a company I will deal with again. I have already recommended them to my brother, and they are doing his move next week!

I bought boxes of all types. I asked for wardrobe boxes, two be exact, he gave me two. But, it turned out, they were different; one small one big. I ended up buying one from another place, leaving the small one to return. I called and said that I would be returning the box and he said OK if it's in "reasonable" condition.

I took it back to him, expecting a refund and all I got was a f(&^ you attitude of "no, I won't take it back since it is dust covered". I wasted gas, time and all because he sold me the wrong product and he gave me LOTS of attitude.

DO NOT GO NEAR this place. The owner has an attitude and will screw you if you are not careful. There are lots of other places that are cheaper and offer more honest service.
