EC Foundations

I had 3 quotes for the work required on my garage foundation. EC Foundations was the middle cost of the 3 quotes so I went with the cheaper. Once excavated, that company explained that now that they knew what they were dealing with, the cost was going to be three times the price to get it fixed. I told them to fill in! I called Scott again and he provided a slightly revised quote (because it was now a year later) which included everything (permits, inspections, engineering reports, poured garage floor and final report for my records). The first company never provide any of this.

The work was completed on time with now surprises. In fact, I asked Scott for a few minor changes/fixes and he agreed at no extra cost. The team was very professional and kept the work area very clean. I have already recommended EC Foundations to a neighbour and will happily continue to do so.

My fiance and I recently purchased our first home, a 1960 bungalow. As a first time homebuyer you are always nervous of foundation issues and you often hear about the nightmare scenarios. Our house is built in "clay" soil so when the house settled it created movement on the foundation. Our neighbours had to completely reinforced their foundation, they hired Erics Concrete to do so. We moved into our new home and found not one but two cracks in our foundation after we completely "gutted the basement" to renovate it. Luckily Eric's foundation was working at my neighbours. I ask Scott one of the partners if he could come over to take a look at the cracks. He came over and explained why of the cracks had happened and what needed to be done to fix it. After spending time with him talking about the foundation I knew why my neighbour had hired them. Scott was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain everything and pass on the knowledge; he didn't just tell me we can fix it and don't worry about the the "how". Scott took care of the locates and he booked me in once the locates were completed. The crew that come in to fix the issue were exactly as Scott was, helpful, friendly and they explained everything. Before digging the foundation with a mini excavator they did a check of the gas (just to be safe) to our surprise there was a gas leak. If they hadn't been professional and just started digging who knows what would have happened. I called Enbridge right away and got the leak taken care of. The crew waited for enbridge to come and started their work as soon as there was no more leak. While they were working I was there watching their every step to better understand the work and the crew took the time to explain every step for my comfort. They waterproof the outside, they installed metal brackets on the inside to make sure the foundation didn't move again and they even arranged for the cutting of an egrees window. They installed frost protection at the footing of the house for the window as well. Scott kept coming by to make sure the work was been done properly. I am extremely satisfied with Eric's Conrete in particular Scott and the crew to came to fix our two foundations crack. After dealing with him I am no longer as scared of foundation issues as I know I have a good, knowlegadeble and professional team behind me.

I had an extensive garage floor and foundation repair and Eric's Concrete were absolutely excellent. Firstly, scheduling was fantastic. They had a small army all working on my job to get it done in a reasonable time. Each and every day they were there on time and there was progress! Secondly, the communication was clear and frequent about what work would be done each day and how things were going. There were no surprises.
Apart from the job being understandably costly, these guys were the best!

Everyone at Eric's Concrete was a pleasure to work with. From Nicole in the office, to Scott who did the inspection to the two-man crew who did the repair. They were all very professional and knowledgeable. I called for an estimate to repair a crack in the foundation that started from a window well and went to the floor and to find out if there were any other issues with the foundation that needed to be addressed. After a thorough inspection of cracks in the brick wall and the foundation, Scott explained thoroughly what the problem was and the best way to fix it. I had feared a major repair bill after other contractors had suggested the weeping tiles were not functioning, but Scott explained the reasons why he believed that they were functioning fine and that only the crack needed to be repaired. Also, the weeping tiles would automatically be checked as part of the repair process. He was right. When the repair was done, they discovered that the weeping tiles were still in good shape and that they were functioning. Scott's knowledge and honesty were the reasons why I went with Eric's Concrete. The two-man crew who did the repair were a great team. They answered all of my questions about the repair process and when they left, the repair area was spotless. They also took pictures of each stage of the repair which were sent to me on request.

After calling several companies, we contracted them because they quickly and thoroughly identified our issue. They were very professional, and completed the work exactly as they described. Neighbours were very appreciative of their maintenance of the site and street while work proceeded. Overall, we were very happy with the service provided.

I had questions about my foundation, Scott knew right away that it wasn’t the problem. Gave me an explanation on what the issues were, advice on how to proceed from there to correct the problems which put me at ease. He went above and beyond, ( rare in today’s world ! ).
Very knowledgeable, very personable, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact the company in the future if I have foundation problems.

The quality of work was excellent and the job was completed on time. The workers always arrived on time and the job site was always cleaned up at the end of every day. The job was completed on time. Any concerns we had were addressed in a timely manner and were explained or until resolved. I would highly recommend Eric Concrete.

Our basement leaked in December. Eric's Concrete came as soon as weather permitted in April to repair and waterproof a basement wall. The work was well organized and most importantly, my follow-up concerns were addressed promptly and satisfactorily.

They were on site early and working every morning, and finished the work in three days. They were careful on the new driveway and in the yard. Scott was easy to get a hold of and kept us informed on how the project was progressing.

Eric's Concrete came, did what they said they'd do for the price they quoted, neatly, nicely, competently. Cleaned up. Packed up. Left. We are pleased. Big bucks. Well worth it.
