Design Air ClimateCare has the worst customer service!
Last winter, we purchased our home which contained a York AFUE 95% high efficiency gas furnace, installed by Design Air ClimateCare. As renovations were winding down, we started up the 9-year-old furnace and noticed it was not operating efficiently. As the furnace had a 10-year Parts Warranty, we contacted Design Air ClimateCare to advise that we believed the furnace was not burning efficiently as we smelled gas being discharged from the flue. From there, all we experienced were condescending attitudes and threats from numerous employees of the company, including an "Executive". Their only concern was securing their $180 fee for dispatching a Technician to attend, and if we refused, they threatened to have our gas shut off.
Fortunately, we found another licensed HVAC Technician who promptly attended, diagnosed and fixed the problem -- guaranteeing that we were never in danger, as erroneously claimed by the Design Air ClimateCare executive. We also learned from our technician that the piping had been installed very sloppily.
