This company gives very good service for heating and cooling. I bought the furnace from Costco and installed by Oosterveld. I am very happy with their work. I also buy some accessories , such as filters from this company.

Furnace wasn't igniting/heating as it should. They diagnosed and fixed quickly. Technician was very nice, as was the person I talked to on the phone when I made the appointment.

They came promptly. An email was sent prior to let me know the technician was on the way, and even had a picture and name of who was coming, a very nice safety touch for me, a female, you know who to expect to let into your home!

Will use them again for sure.

Jeff , the technician was great at his job!! My fireplace required a new fan and I also needed a new remote. Everything was done in a timely fashion. Great service!!

Jeff is always very pleasant. He gave a full report on the system. He arrived on time. Always takes his shoes off (especially important in the winter). I like that they send the same service rep every time.

I called Oosterveld to replace a coupling on my Buderus boiler since Union Gas said it was not to code (previous homeowner or boiler repair had done this). Told them exactly what Union Gas said needed to be done. They sent Rick out and he spent 10-15 minutes at my house and then at the door, charged me $110 for a diagnostic fee, to come out and look at the work that Union Gas had already diagnosed had to be done. I also asked him to check the heat in my accessory apartment since it was cold in there, and he only said "Is it hot? Then it's working." I still have that as an outstanding issue, and will be going with another company to address this. Rick said he would get back to me the next day with a quote. Nearly two weeks went by. I called again for a quote and Rick said it would cost a lot of money - maybe $250 or more, depends what it looked like when he opened it up. I asked how much the ceiling would be, he said $400. He didn't seem to know the system. I called back and asked for someone else who knew Buderus boilers better to work on it. They also said I needed to pay over the phone in advance for a $500 kit (including labour time) they would have to use for the job. They sent Simon, who did the job, but got progressively more rude to me in the time it took to get the job done. He walked on my hardwood floor numerous times with wet boots, despite my asking him to take off boots over the hardwood. He tried to upsell me for maintenance right at the start of the visit, and when he opened the boiler, he cracked off a piece and said "look, this is cracked too, but fortunately this piece is in my replacement kit." I seriously suspect it wasn't cracked until he cracked it off, because when I asked to look at it, he turned his back to me and wouldn't show me until he pulled it out, and a cracking noise was made as he removed it. At the end when the job was done, I asked a few questions to understand what he had done, and he said "can you read this?" pointing to the word "intake". Unbelievable. The job was completed, but the delays and terrible customer service cause me to recommend not choosing Oosterveld for this type of service.

Water heaters leaking and manufacturer agreed to replace it under warranty. I just have to get a contractor to receive the new tank and install it. Called oosterveld. No one there to talk to at the main number so left a message with an advisor. Two days later no return call. Call again and talk to someone in the office. Guy doubted anyone would give me a free water heater under warranty and quotes 800 bucks flat rate just to install. Called a different local company who quoted less than half that and was immediately familiar with the warranty replacement process.

We have used this company before for service for our Lennox pulse furnace. This year, before even looking at the furnace the serviceman said he was going to “pressure test” it, he did this and said it had failed and was condemned. It was observed that there was no check made to see if the plugs inserted into the holes were leaking or not. We were charged $165 for that pleasure. He told us that he would get the salesperson to call who did so extremely quickly and then quoted us $6500 for a new furnace. Needless to say, we got other quotes and are very happy with our new furnace that was considerably less.

had them install 2-3 years ago a system that didn't ever work properly, made an appointment which they cancelled 2 weeks ago. Came today after the heat wave asking us to sign a contract for $1500 for a warranty on a product that they've never installed properly anyway. Twohalf-assed techs working who wanted multiple visits to fix the problem, but couldn't start right away despite already waiting two weeks without air conditioning. Poor service all about the money.

I have an older house that had some bad DIY duct work done from the previous owner. There was also no cold air return in the basement or upstairs. There was steel pipe gas lines running through the stairway to the basement which one needed to duck under.

I had a few companies come take a look. Oosterveld didn't try to up sell any additional products. A lot of companies just want to sell an AC or furnace. Oosterveld is also local and family owned. So I chose them.

HVAC: We added a cold air return to the basement and upstairs. A few extra heat runs in the basement. No more huge temperature differences from floor to floor, and the basement is much cozier.

Gas: The steel pipe gas lines were replaced with flex line routed through properly. Shut offs added for each appliance with a nice manifold in the utility room. A lot of small things fixed - out dated fittings / unions, repairs loose vent pipes (major safety issue for CO poisoning), and found a few issues next door at the neighbours that they also fixed.

The technicians were great. Very professional and hard working guys. Cleaned up afterwards. I worked with them for a few days, Spencer and Peter treated the place as if it were their own.

Would hire them again.
