Hearth Manor Bbq's & Fireplaces

We've been customers of Hearth Manor for many years and have purchased many design, decor and fireplace items from this store. We were delighted to see that they have recently expanded and now have more space to display their high quality merchandise. We have
bought; items for the mantle, lamps, fireplace utensils, candles, wrought iron pieces, clocks, pictures and vintage pieces. It's a great gift shop but they also have larger items including outdoor furniture, dining room tables and chairs and of course, the full service fireplace design and installation business and BBQ's. A fun store to browse through and the staff is always very helpful.

Excellent customer service and design help to ensure we purchased the right units for our main floor living space and basement. Excellent installation team - attention to detail to ensure all details were perfect. Always friendly staff and wonderful selection of unique gifts!

I had a new gas fireplace insert installed along with a surrounding stone fireplace and wood beam mantel built. Liz and her staff were extremely knowledgeable, helped with the design and did excellent work. The workmen came on time, were professional and kept the area clean. Liz kept us informed throughout the process.

I met with Liz of a Hearth Manor Fireplaces to discuss removing our old insert and installing a new gas fireplace and an additional one in our living room! I told her I wanted the cozy feel as well as built ins surrounding my fireplace. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable about sharing her expertise. She listened to my needs and then provided expert staff who designed and installed two perfect units. I purchased a new gas fireplace insert from Hearth Manor. Liz was very kind and as I was wanting to re-do the top of my hearth, she recommended the store contact, Pete. I had 2 appointments with Pete, both of which he missed -- without even calling ahead. He said he forgot them and I had to re-schedule both, freeing-up an additional 2 days. I dealt with Liz regarding products for the hearth, as she indicated she would communicate with Pete. Something went awry, as he did not follow my wishes, both explained to Liz via email, and confirmed by me to Pete directly in a phone call. I decided to not utilize Hearth services to re-do the hearth. The installation of the new insert was completed by a pleasant and industrious young man, but it was a lengthy process. Although my purchase receipt indicated installation was included in the total price, Liz told me I had to pay an extra $200.00 plus tax, because it took the installer longer than usual. I did not see this as my problem, but wanting to maintain a relationship with Hearth Manor, I paid. It was soon determined the unit had a defective part (through no fault of Hearth Manor). Liz had a replacement part ordered and installed in a timely fashion. I would encourage future customers engage the services of an alternate source should they wish to add tile, granite, etc., to their hearth. Further, they should ensure any purchase receipt/documentation clearly delineates circumstances in which additional charges for installation may be incurred.

Due to a very shall we say severe winter last year, we were forced to go on a hunting expedition this past summer for a new gas fireplace. The gas company shut our twenty plus years existing unit while doing the regular maintenance due to the mercury switch no longer being available .
Hearth Manor was the third establishment on our list and at the time, we were only looking for prices so that we could budget our finances.
The first person we encountered was extremely knowledgeable and insisted that they wanted to be the company that installed our new fireplace. We decided to give them a chance.
We provided all the measurements that they requested and inquired what we were responsible for doing in order to make this an easy flowing endeavor.
We also advised the Hearth Manor staff that we wished to reuse the marble from around the existing unit. They wished us the best of luck in removing it without breaking it and after a painful twelve hours of hard labour, the procedure was a success.
It was a lifelong dream of mine to have a mantle on our fireplace and we related our request to them. We were given several options on the different styles of mantles and we chose a very plain but classy model. Have you noticed that everything looks so much smaller in the stores than what they really are??
Hearth Manor advised on the make and model of the gas insert that suited our needs best and our budget as well.
The day of the installation, two gentlemen showed up to complete the initial work and the person responsible for the finishing touches would return to complete the installation of the mantle.
We were TOTALLY disappointed with the height of the mantle because it reminded us of a geek with very short pants on. This was solely because of the ceiling height of our basement and due to the six inch high pedestal the mantle was sitting on.
The gentleman from Hearth Manor was so patient and accommodating that he would have done anything to appease us and our requests. We jointly decided that the mantle had to be shortened by about three inches and he went about doing that. Reusing the marble that we so painfully de-installed also became questionable, but, being the professional that he was, he was able to trim the pieces to fit PERFECTLY.
We're ecstatic with the workmanship and the lengths that the Hearth Manor staff were willing to go to please us. We would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants good service from knowledgeable people who are willing to go the extra mile to keep the customer happy.

My husband and I have been clients of Hearth Manor since the late 1980s, having purchased several gas fireplaces and one electric unit from the store. We have found the sales personnel, owners and installers all very professional and easy to work with. More importantly the company stood behind their product if any problems arose during or after installation and worked to ensure we as customers were completely satisfied both with the product and the installation. We always recommend Hearth Manor to family and friends and will continue to purchase from this company in the future.

We were very pleased with the fireplace renovation. When the old insert was removed, we were surprised to see what bad shape the fire box was in. They quickly rebuilt the firebox & installed a beautiful log set that completely modernized the fireplace. We were very happy with the service & the quality of their work

I live in North York but travelled way out of my neighbourhood to buy my fireplace at Hearth Manor. The staff were customer-focused and knowledgeable. I had been to three other fireplace stores and was either ignored, given wrong information or treated with indifference. One store quoted a price that was $400 (!) more than the previous store for the same model. Another store was willinge to sell me a fireplace but had no one who was able to deliver or install it for me. I called Hearth Manor with a few questions and they returned my call promptly with helpful answers. It was worth the drive out to Mississauga and I am looking forward to lots of warm, toasty evenings in front of my new fireplace thanks to Hearth Manor.
