Buyer Beware! Bad experience.

I will start this review with my initial purchase of stove, fridge, dishwasher, range hood microwave (all of which were frigidaire professional), bedroom set(which retailed for 10k) front load washer and dryer by Electrolux, and various pictures and accessories. It has now been three years since the products have been started being used.
During my initial purchase the sales people were absolutely great to deal with and more then willing to accommodate.
That all ended once the products were delivered.
Let's start with the fridge. The ice and water stoped working after a few weeks of using it. I contacted lounsburys about my issue. They informed me that they only come out this way once every few weeks (I live in saint Antoine), I was ok with that. After a few weeks the service man showed up for the first time. He took the water line off and it was frozen. So after de thawing it and putting it back together it worked fine for a month or so. Once it stoped again, I called and he came out again, basically did the same thing. This happened a few times with a month or two between calls. The fourth time he came out he figured that I needed a part, so he ordered it. At this point there was only a month or so left on warranty. So after waiting and calling for a six month period someone finally called and said the part was in and they were going to come out and fix it. While he was here installing the part he figured out that the part was not the problem and that the fridge had a defect. The fridge box was missing insulation, which was causing the unit to work overtime to stay at the set temperature and because the waterline was against the back wall, it was freezing. So after approximately 18 months and no warranty left on the fridge I have no water or ice on a fridge that was not cheap. I did go in at that point and spoke with Zach (a manger). He was actually quite accommodating and offered to give me a credit on a new fridge for the value of what I paid on my fridge originally. The issue was that the exact same fridge was now $600 more. So I simply couldn't justify spending $600 more to have water and ice working on something that I already spent 2k on that never worked from day one. So I refused the offer! This fridge is a frigidaire professional.

The dishwasher has now had a new pump installed, a leaking hose replaced, and now currently is leaking from the door seal. It is currently three years old and is also a frigidaire professional.

The microwave / range hood has since broken, about about six months after the one year warranty ran out. The fan stopped working. This is also a frigidaire professional.

The stove has now also broke just this pass week. The stove actually caused quite a hazard when it let go. There were sparks and flames inside the oven with a Big Bang. My fiancé and and 18month old son were the only ones home at the time and it scared the crap out of them. I don't have to worry about my son being around a stove anymore, he is traumatized. That is also a frigidaire professional. This was the last item that actually worked correctly in my kitchen. It let go after three years.

Now the bedroom set, it has been ok other the having to repair the bed frame three times so far. It is a king size bed and and the supports keep breaking because the box spring that was sold to me by lounsburys does not sit on all of the supports correctly. It will slide up or down and cause the 1/2 inch by 3 inch boards to twist and crack then break. Oh and also, the box springs are not matching, which I only realized after the bed broke the first time. Which was about 18 months after I purchased.

Now the washer and dryer. Over all I don't have any major complaints. Other then the washer will randomly shut down and lock during the middle of a cycle. This started when it was new. To get it open I have to turn the breaker off for about ten seconds then switch it back on. I can then open the door and restart the cycle. This is annoying but at-least it still works. I did ask the service man about this one of the many times he was at my house working on my fridge. He told me it was normal and there wasn't anything that could be done. It only happens once every couple of weeks so I thought, no big deal. This is made by Electrolux.

I have now been using all of the above mentioned products for 3 years. It has been a joke among my family since the items started giving me problems since day one. My mother actually highly recommended lounsburys to me when I was moving into my house. She now feels horrible about it. She contacted the manager this week after my stove exploded and the manager could not have cared less. The manager contacted me this morning and told me, because the warranty was long over there was nothing they could do. She didn't even apologize . She just wanted to get me off the phone. I spent over 20k at lounsburys three years ago and am left with a fridge that has never produced ice or water, a dishwasher that I have spent $400 in repairs on and now has a towel underneath the door to soak up the water leaking from door seal. A stove that is full of ashes and needs replaced. A microwave without a range hood. A bed that has me sleeping on the floor once every couple months. And last but not least, a cloths washer that has a mind of its own.

So I am now going to replace all of my broken appliances and NOT purchasing from lounsburys. If the manager was even a bit smart she would have offered me a discount of some sort on new appliances, I may have changed my attitude slightly because of the gesture at least. But she did not. She is horrible at her job!

They have now lost a long term customer and I will be informing as many people as possible. I understand that warranty dates are in place for a reason but customer support and marketing should be on there priority list in a very competitive environment .

Buyer Beware!
