We gave them such a long time to adhere to their promises. To no avail. Misled us for years and then proceeded to ignore us all together. Not a happy customer and in speaking to neighbours in the area, this is much more common than not with this builder. Will only mention a couple of the issues encountered but there were many, many more.

We have had major garage slope/drainage issues since day one. Their initial fix was to drill a hole in the concrete in the corner of the garage... when that didn't work, we have been given the run-around for literally years. The excuses and reasons for the delay changing each and every time. Now they ignore us altogether.

Laundry/attic ventilation issues since day one. They promised us there was no issue; meanwhile every winter there is massive ice build-up on the exterior laundry/attic wall. The solution: spray some more insulation into the attic. That didn't work either.

We are left with major issues that should have been covered by warranty and the builder continuously avoided the proper fixes.

We were told "Our Tradespeople are the best in the business and they have all been with us for years' they take pride in their work." Well no. They have a couple of long-term employees; the rest are the newest and cheapest they can find. They went through 3 different hvac companies in lest than a year.

We love Cochrane and the Janssen salesperson at the time was amazing; we just wish this builder actually stood behind their product like they promised us they would.

Excellent and dependable company, had a townhouse built and they were responsive and accurate and informative. Doris, the salesperson on site, was very friendly and knowledgeable and had wonderful suggestions for changes that I am very happy with. The workmanship is top notch, and they have been so responsive with minor issues and questions since I moved in last summer. Would definitely recommend this company!

I had a house built with Janssen Homes in 2012, I needed some extra's done and they were very accommodating and did them at no extra charge to me. Even after 8 years Diane has gone above and beyond to help with things that I have needed fixed. I have recommended them to my family members, my son also bought a house from them. Over all the experience has been very satisfactory. I would not hesitate to purchase another Janssen Home. Diane is AWESOME!!!

Even though our duplex started as a spec home, we could customise the flooring as that had not been put down yet. The site supervisor was fantastic, fully answering all our questions about how to maintain the home, even questions that I would not have known to ask, he volunteered information I needed to know. And this helpfulness went a long time after the initial purchase date. Recently a plastic part of the kitchen faucet broke, and Janssen found us the replacement part, which I had not been able to locate on my own. If I need another home, I would go straight to Janssen, and quite possibly not look for another builder.

We had Janssen Homes build our first new home in Edgemont and were pleased with the product and relationship throughout. Consequently 3 of our children purchased new Janssen built homes in Scenic Acres, Hamptons and more recently Cochrane. Our family has had a long relationship with Janssen Homes and were extremely satisfied and happy with the experience, with the different people we dealt with ie sales persons, supervisor, sub trades, on site workers and office staff and found them helpful, knowledgeable and honest. We were also aware that a Janssen built home has excellent re sale value.

We had a half duplex built by Janssen Homes in Fireside of Cochrane and were very pleased with their whole process from accommodating any changes/additions to plan until we took possession. The supervisor was available to answer questions and concerns and the construction people were competent. It can be a stressful time but we were kept informed and had a good experience with this builder.

We had a very good overall experience with Janssen. We actually brought them a plan we liked and they worked with us to fine-tune it making it an even better living space. I had the good fortune to get to know some of the trades during the build and I came to realize that many of them had worked with Janssen for 10 or even 20 years. There were very few issues to deal with during the warranty period and when they did come up we found Janssen to be quite responsive. All said, a pretty good experience. I would recommend them to anyone looking to build.

We had the pleasure of working with Janssen Homes on 2 new home projects. Our experience on both occasions was extremely positive and professional. We came in on budget and on time. A great family run company with dedicated long standing trades people which we feel speaks volumes about this company.

They are awesome people to build with and exceeded our expectations. Janssen builds a beautiful house, and gave us excellent service. The timelines we were given were kept and they did a great job at keeping us informed. Very Professional !

Janssen homes was our first choice of builder when we decided to build in Cochrane. My husband has been a framer for decades and now does Reno's. He's very particular and noticed the high quality and extras they put in their homes as being superior to other builders. This was the first thing that caught our eye. As we started talking with the saleslady, we found her to be delightful and she continues to be long after the possession of our home. We consider her to be a dear friend. We also met with several of the trades people who were top notch, very respectful and great to work with. Everyone we have met though Janssen Homes have been down to earth and helpful. We were also able to see the care the builder has for the trades and vice versa. Something you don't see with bigger builders. It's the same care they treated us with. They did an incredible job on our home, it's beautiful and we still have to pinch ourselves. They were able to get us in right on schedule, even though things were held up with a cold winter this year. We love our home and would definitely recommend them to our friends and family. Their service continues to be excellent.
