Milton Hardwood Floors

Milton Hardwoods are a great company to deal with! this is the second project they did for us and we are very satisfied with the work. They are on time,clean up after they are done, pleasant group of guy's and they have a great show room.

I was in the midst of a nightmare move and the search for hardwood was one of the worst experiences....until I came across Milton Hardwood. The selection was vast, the service excellent, not to mention the high quality and after shopping around .....it always brought me back to Milton. The General Manager, Vikki was amazing. So helpful and willing to accommodate to make this as painless as possible. Pricing was excellent also. They gave me the best price anywhere. I would highly recommend Milton Hardwood to anyone dealing with a flooring search and would not hesitate to return in future.

We would like to thank Richard and the wonderful crew he sent to our home to complete our fabulous hardwood flooring. Everyone was courteous, friendly and professional. They came on the date and time arranged and worked very hard to complete the removals, disposals, and installation together with the unusual railings and beautiful thresholds in one day. Totally above and beyond our expectations in all aspects of the project, including the cleanup at the end. We would totally recommend Milton Hardwood Inc. to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed!!

I have had this company in all of the houses I have owned to either replace or refinish flooring. We had beautiful walnut laid on our upper level and warm comfortable cork in our basement of our current home. Pricing and service are second to none.

Richard was excellent to work with. Quick, efficient service with installers who really respect your home. From the time of placing the order to installation,one week. The work site was left spotless. What a pleasure.

The product sold of Superior Flooring is excellent, the return of such is not, the Milton Hardwood return policy (which is on web site only and later informed in not applicable to in store purchases, nor present on the Invoice) says 25% restocking fee (which is typical for retailers), but when returning Superior Flooring product 50% return fee (not mentioned anywhere, nor informed at time of purchase, but revealed to us by Vikki) if they chose to accept.
"Milton Hardwood Inc. reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of certain merchandise at any time for any reason" this may leave you nervous, but should be aware.
If you are DIY installation this may not be the place for you, they are more geared for full service installations, taking product back is a chore at best.
They do not practice keeping in touch with their suppliers as well and their products, we requested touch-up pen or similar material in small quantity and Richard at Milton Hardwood Floors informed us that only $40 quart/litre are available which covers 150 sqft, too much for minor scratches and end cuts. We call Page at Herwynen Saw Mill very helpfull (manufacturer of Superior Flooring) and she informed us any retailer can supply touch-up pens that are color match to their products and have been available for several years, we informed Milton Hardwood and they again said this in not available and we mentioned our conversation with the manufacturer then they said they would get it in for us, two weeks later when we inquired about our touch-up pen, they said the manufacturer does not have such products so we needed to remind them again of the manufacturers conversation. Call again Milton Hardwood and Ricardo then says we need to purchase the pen in advance for $16.95 or just go to Home Depot and get a different one form them (I understand this tactic is used when you want to be done with the client, they divert you away)
It is just a reminder that shop around if you plan on DIY installation of hardwood flooring not all retailers can provide the level of service to such and this may determine where you purchase you product from, we made several calls to the Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton areas retailers and most had no problem return policy with a typical restocking fee. This may come handy particularly when the product provides 3-5% waste or less a lot less the industry norm...which you may miscalculate!
Mean time we have sitting in our home 5 unopened boxes of Superior flooring and no more space to install it in. Our contact sales rep Vikki (our only authority to remedy this from Milton Hardwood floors) is on vacation for 2 weeks.
Again the Superior Flooring Product from Herwynen Saw Mill is excellent and exceeded our expectations just the service from Milton Hardwood Floors was not optimal.

We recently moved into a new house in Cambridge Ontario and the first plan was to replace existing laminate with hardwood.
We had heard of Milton Hardwood through a friend in the construction business who spoke very highly of them.
We had some details that required creative work where floors changed height from tile to hardwood, etc. Therefore, we were concerned about how well the product would be installed.
The representative from Milton (Ricardo Ceron) came to our house and provided an extremely professional plan on how they would proceed after guiding us on the best flooring for our décor. Ricardo attached himself to the project and periodically checked to make sure we were pleased with the installation crew and their work. If you are planning to go to Milton Hardwood, we recommend that you ask for Ricardo to get optimum service and advise.
As it turned out, we were not disappointed. The installers were courteous and professional. The work was excellent!

We recently renovated our cottage in Muskoka and installed hardwood floors throughout. We researched many companies before selecting Milton Hardwood. While they did not install, as our location is outside their service area, our decision to purchase from them was based on Richard's exceptional knowledge, sound advice, professionalism and excellent pricing. All terms of the arrangement were completed on time. We do not hesitate in recommending them and we will use their services again when we update our main residence. Thank you Richard!

After doing quite a bit of reasearch, I decided to go with Milton hardwood. Joe and Jessie, the installers, who came to take measurements for the quote, seemed very knowledgable and trustworthy, did not try to sell me things I didn't need. Richard from the sales office then promptly emailed me a quote and answered all my questions. Very easy to deal with so I put the order in for 4 bedrooms and hallway.
A couple of weeks later Joe and Jessie showed up on time. They were professional, polite and ready to work. . Their experience showed in their workmanship, which was immaculate. They always cleaned up after themselves and made this whole experience stress free! All the cuts were perfect with very little mess. I could not find one faulty item when all was finished!
