11 years left on 25 year warranty which is void. DeLuca did not do their due diligence and check the attic. His explanation... back then they were installers, not roofers.

Roof done in the Fall of 2004 by your company. Bought shingles that were suggested by your sales person. Manufacturer of shingles now involved in a class action lawsuit for being defective.
Roofing companies made aware of situation with shingles much earlier. No effort made to contact clients who purchased product. No compensation i.e. labour offered for repairs now needed

Thank you Doug for a great service call. 30 years of great service from this company. I would not trust any other company with my roof. DeLuca has fixed a leaky sky light, which no one else could fix. They never up sell and are honest and trustworthy.

Last year we had a water leak in our Kitchen and called Deluca who installed our roof back in 2007. Doug L came out that day and thought that the problem was around the stacks. Unfortunately it was not. After several attempts the problem was found. A piece of the wooden roof deck had broken off right where the seams for the water shield and the seams for the roof tiles were (a perfect storm). This problem was very frustrating for both Doug and us but he was always very friendly and professional.

We had a roof installed by Delucca in 2009 - 8 years ago.
We were advised that their work was guaranteed for 10 years.
The shingles which were installed had a 25 year guarantee.
Now, 8 years later the shingles are all crumbled and dropping off the roof . The deck is full of crumbled shingles.
We contacted Deluca a month ago when tiles blew off the roof. Since then the rain is coming in. We were told we were on a waiting list. 6 calls later still no one had come to inspect the roof. Phoned again and got the assistant to the president (told the president does not talk to customers). She told us someone had come to look at the roof but he did not come to the door. Although our door was wide open from 6am to 9.30pm no one came near and we did not see a Deluca vehicle or a ladder anywhere on our property
Someone was to come to-day but never showed and did not phone. Admitted it was raining and some stormy weather but at least a phone call would have been expected to arrange an alternative visit.
I e mailed the company and sent pictures. A rep of the company phoned and was very offhand with us. He said that Delucca would take no responsibility whatsoever for the inferior shingles. After telling him we thought they should take responsibility or at least contact the manufacturer of the shingles to try to sort something out with them for replacement, we were advised (very rudely) that there was a class action against the shingle manufacturers and that if we had a complaint we should take part in the class action. As seniors and my husband suffering from cancer, this is something we do not have the energy to do. We have no other option than to have another roofer come along and replace the roof.
If nothing else, I would think Deluca should have contacted the clients to advise them of the class action against the maker of the shingles to allow them to make a claim.
I feel that we have received extremely poor service from
Deluca and they have obviously no regard for their clients.
I would certainly not recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer. Their work ethics are very poor to say the least.

Job was done with poor quality of shingles have to redone after 12 years. Bad customer service promised to help never returned calls and didn't come back to address issue

I went to the website to look for contractors and picked out four. I called three and filled in Deluca’s on-line form. Surprisingly, Deluca was the first one to come out and meet with me. The sales rep, Dan was very good. I must say that the reps from the other companies were also good, but I found Dan to be a little more realistic with the estimate and forthcoming on good and bad recommendations. It is too bad that the sales rep is not the one on scene doing the work as well. I noticed with past contractors that you may be really happy with the sales rep, but when the workers come - well - it can be disappointing. Dan’s estimate was generally more expensive, on the other hand, he knew that at least 5 sheets of plywood was needed and put that in directly. The other people generally had a lower estimate, but potential plywood costs were put on as a footnote and so they were out of the main quote. There were also differences in opinion regarding venting - I went with Dan’s recommendations. When it came to doing the work, I must say the crew - all of them - worked hard for the day and a half it took to do the job. When I thought they may have missed things like installing a bathroom vent, I was wrong. They were on top of everything I needed, before I mentioned it. They also went the extra mile, by helping me to install foam baffles, by shingling a small shed next to my main one, and by completely removing all debris from the job. They had music, which I was worried about as I didn’t need to hear complaints from my neighbours (or my resident mother! ). I like to work with music, but not everyone likes my taste in music. Suggestion - I do like to see team uniforms - it adds to professionalism. I was also glad to see Deluca follow up on my satisfaction with the job. Later, they sent me warranty papers for the roof. Overall, I was very happy with the company and would hire them again.

My kitchen started to show signs (minor bubbling/warping) of a leak approximately a year and a half ago (December 2013). During some freezing rain in early 2014 we started getting actual running water into kitchen. We knew we were well past due to call someone and called Deluca.

During the visit with Doug L. he informed us of our options about repairs and new roof, but until the spring when the roof could be properly looked at and assessed not to make any firm decisions.

The spring came, called Deluca to come out for the repair and possible replacement. Doug was back out, suggested a repair because the rest of the roof was in okay shape. He removed a large portion of shingles and some ply wood to view the damage from the attic space as well (whichever way the house was built there is no access to this area of the attic directly and inadequate space to move from one space to the next once in the attic). Not seeing the issue and after repairing the newly made hole, an issue was found against the house in the step flashing which was directing water against exposed brick and into the house. Previous owners of the house had the roof replaced and therefore we do not know who did this work. Doug repaired the step flashing, replaced the shingles and even walked around the roof and repaired some damaged and missing shingles (even though I could have done that myself).

Forward to December 2014, another ice storm has brought water into the kitchen again, in the same spot. It became obvious that the first repair was not the issue. Called Doug out again and again he suggested to wait until the spring when the roof was more accessible and less dangerous.

In the meantime a third storm brought water into the kitchen so I opened up two holes in the kitchen ceiling to track the water back. Turns out the leak was near the peak of the roof. This spring I had Doug back out to look at the water damage from the inside. Shingles were removed and ply wood was replaced. Eves trough was cut back it was part of the problem (bottom of the eves from the top roof was touching the lower roof (split level home) creating a small dam). This second repair was no charge as the leak was not fixed after the first repair.

The kitchen has been dry through two good rainstorms since the fix. Looking forward to fixing the holes in the kitchen. Thank you Doug L for all the time spent on my roof over the last year and a half. Excellent service all around.

Joe went above and beyond in providing support in an emergency and ensuring that highest level of service was provided. I was very pleased with Mike who supervised the work and the crew, Professional and Honest staff I am so glad I went with Deluca over the 7 other estimates. HIghly recommend this company!
