Menkes Developments Ltd

I recently purchased a condo in North York and in my search saw several developers with different build quality. I picked a menkes developed unit based on price and location, location, location. I'd rate the build quality as a 5/10. The walls, ceilings and floors are super thin and you can here your neighbors in everything they do...I mean everything. Even the materials used in the unit could've been better. oh well, better luck next time.

They provided excellent service, great building material, perfect closing date. The condo looks great, has modern facilities, great gym, great location. Modern appliances, the quality of finish workmanship is also good.

In 2005 I purchased a unit at the new One Sherway Condominiums that Menkes was building. I was soo excited to move in as the features and finishes were to be phenomenal.

In the spring of 2008 I finally moved in. I, along with many other residents, was quite disappointed as to the quality of the finishes that were promised and what was actually done. It seemed as though they used only the cheapest materials. Any problems were dealt with immediately but were also done by just "covering up" the problem area. The facilities are also not that great.

I guess the lesson learned is that buying a newly built place, you really don't know what you're paying for until it's too late.
