I have been living in Harbour Plaza for less than one year. The unit was brand new when I moved here. However, in less than one year, the floor started floating and detaching without any reason in some areas. When I contacted the building management, they refused to take responsibility and said that the problem is humidity. This was surprising to me since I always dry-cleaned the floor and used the air fans properly and maintained a controlled level of humidity at the unit and since that even with humidity the floor cannot detach like this if the work was done properly at the beginning . I also discovered later that other residents have the same issue.

5 year old home with several roof leaks, foundation leaks, and shower leaks. Insurance denied claims based on poor workmanship. Horrible. Customer service make lots of broken promises. the. Worst.

The building I live is was constructed so poorly that my unit is regularly above 25 degrees even with a window open in the middle of February. The property managers just say deal with it.

Horrible experience. 1st day, had to replace all fire alarms as it was low and would not stop beeping. 2nd day, leak in the ceiling, had to call a plumber to fix and he had to drill a hole in my dry wall to solve the issue. 3rd day, laundry room flooded. Menkes gave us a faulty machine. The list goes on, customer care has been giving us the run around. Nothing is aligned, all the walls are uneven and scratched, the floors are not leveled, some areas we can see the creek underneath the floors. Tiles are cracked, doorbell doesn't work, heating system is horrible. We've been stressed since we first moved in. For our first home ever, this was a horrible purchase. STAY AWAY! Menkes isn't even close to the top in quality. Currently living in Harbour Plaza in the East Tower in it's OCCUPANCY phase. These units have been completed "on time" which is unheard of b/c the workmanship is rushed.

The washroom sink faucet continues to run after turned off for a few solid seconds. Menkes initially refused to fix this indicating that they are "slow closing facets" and that this is normal. This is not normal and this does not happen with the kitchen sink or the faucet for the bath tub. Customer service indicated that this is normal - I've asked individuals on my floor and other floors, that is not the case.

There is hardened grout on sink fixtures and the doorknobs in the bathroom that cannot be removed.

The quality is really bad, is not like an experience builder job. We bought the house a year ago because it would be built by menkes, but they let us very disappointed for the quality of hardwood floor, painting on the wall, job in bathrooms, interior, experior... you name it, what a mess for the project management. Will never buy a house built by this builder.

Disgusting customer service and the sales staff will mislead you until they have you on the dotted line! They won't disclose important details with you. Craftsmanship is also disgusting and the builders they hire are usually commercial builders who don't know how to build residential. Everyone working at Menkes is rude as you can imagine. Stay far far far away!

It was our first purchase from Menkes, and we were also one of the original occupants. As you can see, direct subway tunnel access was advertised in black and white on October 2013. First occupancy was around late 2014, it has been more than 2 years now, and the tunnel is still incomplete.

People move into a place based on its price, location, and features. Despite what the complication was, it's considered as false advertisement in my mind.

How would you feel if you purchased a movie ticket that has "Dolby surround feature" written on it, but only to find out the cinema currently only has 2 basic speakers, and the advertised "Dolby Surround" won't be available for another 2 years?

I wish i knew about all these reviews before. Menkes so far is our worst experience ever. Customer Service is disrespectful and i have no words to describe their lack of disorganization. Quality wise, our window frames no aliened ( cant even install shades), main columns are crooked. if you are still going with this builder, make sure you understand what they are selling as an upgrade we paid 1600 for stained stairs and they only installed and stained the handrails for that price.......

Stay FAR FAR away from this company! POOR quality workmanship coupled with a lack of integrity! I was so disappointed with the final product. Delivery of the final product was definitely subpar.
