I was unimpressed with Beswicks from the very beginning. We booked in September and waited the 7 weeks they said it would take max. The time came and went and after we called multiple times no one ever called us back. We were promised they would come on a particular day, they never came. Promised anther day it was delayed due to weather. We then were told they would come early next week. Early week came and went. They didn't come until I called and told them I would go with their competeitor if they didn't come. They were here the next day. They don't accept visa, and will never call you back! Pay the extra money and go with another company!

We received a very competative quote and so had Beswick come and trim our trees along our long driveway. Jeff the owner promised that we would be informed when this would take place as we wanted to be present to show them which trees and how high to trim. However, the crew showed up several days later and just proceeded to trim and do an awefull job of triming the trees. The owner jeff was contacted and was very rude and bullish and i would not recommend using Beswick as they are out for the quick buck with no customer service what so ever.

Hired them a while back, came out fast for a quote. Great to deal with, did a wonderful job trimming a very old and large tree. were knowledgable about trees and courteous, were very professional , prices were competive and not outrageous! would recommend again! great clean up as well!

I had the same experience as Jennifer describes when dealing with the owner about damage. Not a pleasant telephone conversation. I was quite surprised by the forceful tone and adamant denial of even a possibility that they caused the damage.

My name is Maria and i had called around to many tree services regarding my willow tree that had to be topped. The one and only fair price I recieved was through BESWICK TREE SERVICE. The secretary was very helpful and nice and when the arbourists came to do the job they came on time and i personaly spoke to them. The crew that came were very polite professional and as a plus there was a man who was in this large tree named Gord who was VERY HANDSOM! I have absolutly nothing bad to say about this company and believe these bad reviews are not correct. I refuse to believe it when compared to the services i was subjected to. So being said I will make sure I spread the word around about how GREAT they are!

Where do I begin. Firstly, they quoted a priced that was way too much to trim and prune a tree in our front yard. I said that I would willing to pay up to $200.00-$250.00 worth of work on the tree which was in our budget. The lady on the phone said that they wouldn't even come out for that price. In addition, we did not want any major branches chopped on our tree. We liked the tree the way it was and only wanted the lower branches raised to six feet so that people could walk by safely on the sidewalk and my husband could mow the lawn without bending over to get underneath the tree branches. The owner wrote down on the invoice that they would not cut any branches above 6 ft. In addition, as they could not come in our timelines, I phoned back and asked them to come when we returned from vacation. I talked to the secretary and we agreed on a date. Unfotunately, i learned later that the message was misplaced. The company came the morning we returned from vacation and subsequently we returned in the afternoon. Yes, to our shock, they cut a beautiful branch from the tree that we were going to use for our daughter's tree swing. Yes, we were very angry. Having sensed a problem, I specifically phoned before we went on vacation so that we could be home to talk to the workers before they began their work. I suspected that the owner was not the one that would come to do the work. When we returned from vacation, I immediately phoned the company and asked to speak to the owner. The lady on the phone was subjected to my rant. The owner did subsequently get back to me. I asked him why they came when we were away. He said that they "don't have time for that." Well. guess what....our time and money is just as important as his, even more so. I asked that he personally come to our home and apologize; he did. Since our time and money is valuable we refused to pay for the services! They quoted us nearly $500.00. We also felt that the price was far too much for the amount of work that we really wanted done. There is a differnce in our opinion in trimming and pruning a tree to make it safe for all and downright chopping branches that do not need to be cut off. I have learned from other professionals/arborists that Beswick is known for aggressively chopping back trees. i was told, that the workers don't seem to know enough about balancing the interior structure of the tree. They also cut too many interior branches which the trunk of the tree needs. I don't think their workers are trained arborists. They may be young men that the owner hires in the summer. I WOULD STRONGLY AVOID USING BESWICK TREE SERVICE. If homeowners want a tree professionally trimmed in order to maintain its beauty and maintain a safe perimeter for passers by, I would recommend a professional arborist insead in order to save yourself much grief.

I used their services several years ago to trim a large tree on a property in Hamilton. They were very courteous on the telephone and were able to give me an appointment very quickly. They were able to prune a very large Elm Tree that was extremely close to 2 homes and pressing up against numerous telephone lines. They trimmed the tree using a cherry picker without damaging any of the telephone lines or houses. I don't think that it was an easy job but they made it look easy. They were very friendly and professional and I would definitely use them again.

When it comes to big tree removal and services call the professionals and don't do it yourself. Beswick Tree Services did a great job on our big property with tree removal, stump removal, and tree triming. To top it all off they were more than happy to chop up the branches for fireword. I would highly recommend them for all your tree needs.

The trimming itself was OK. I had a big problem with the damage to my wood front gate and fence. The whole front gate was covered from top to bottom with scratches and gouges. The post was badly gouged. I had just painted and was not impressed.

Spoke to an owner/manager- he immediately tore into to me about the "little scuffs" that should wipe off (no), how it wasn't a big deal and how I should have expected this. Nobody warned me about this type of damage and it was not a big deal.

All I wanted was an acknowledgement and an apology. Bad attitude, bad customer service. Never again and I am spreading the word.

We got two quotes, Beswick was $250 and the other company was $350. We needed a Maple tree trimmed in the back yard (the branches were looming into our neighbour's yard, and over over roof where the leaves got into the gutter). The quote was $200 and an extra $50 to take care of a front tree as well. They did what they said they would ... trees were trimmed, they cleaned up the branches they cut, and were very friendly.
