To preface this review, I have been a customer of Metro Air for over a decade. They have since changed to pinnacle metro air.
I called to have my annual furnace maintenance. When the technician came I told him about a sound I didn't like. Paid the invoice.
When the sound came on again, video taped the sound and sent it to them. Emailed me back said it was a motor that needed replacing and it was under warranty, just pay for the labor 154gst I said fine no problem.
Technician came. 15 mins asked him where the motor was, he didn't have one he's going to diagnose the sound. Determines it was probably some tape that was loose and nothing more. Leaves extra tape and tells me that if the sound comes on again to look for some loose tape that may have been vibrating. Charges me $180. What? Really?
I sent an email to the service department and told them that it was absolutely ridiculous they charged me for that. Wasn't asking for a freebee. This was their response:
Im sorry you feel that way. We cannot just change parts randomly.
My tech did a full inspection of your furnace and could not replicate
The noise. So as a Gas technician he did what he could to fix what he thought might be the issue.
That call would be chargeable regardless even if he did nothing.
And you are more then welcome to call any other provider. I will put
You on the do not service list. Sorry that our service was not satisfactory to your Standards.
This is why you lose customers. Poor customer service, subpar service.
Find a different company, this one doesn't care. The furnace does not work now. Have to call another company to fix it. The tech they sent was an absolute newbie and had no clue what he was doing. Stay far away from this company. No clue what they are doing
