Fagnan's Furnace Services

I have an old house and as such old furnace. It tends to break a lot. I find Fagnan's is good at getting it serviced same day if it is freezing out. The service folks are quite knowledgeable and polite. They are reasonably priced and have 30 day service guarantee, so you don't have to pay for site inspection twice for the same issue.

Our furnace's ignitor decided to quit on a very cold evening, and wasn't noticed until after 9PM, so we called several companies we had found on Homestars with "24 hour service" who didn't answer, left a few messages, and then decided to call Fagnan's and another larger company who had call centres. The repair guy from Fagnan's called us back first, and was able to get here within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, had the part in hand when he walked in the door, and had it fixed in about 10 minutes. He also provided some very helpful advice on a few other furnace-related questions I had. Extremely friendly and helpful, very professional, and most importantly arrived quickly! I wasn't sure what to expect cost-wise as far as the after-hours service call, but overall I felt the total cost was reasonable, it was $150 for the service call, $60 for labor, and $200 for the part. I hope it's never needed in the future, but if I have furnace problems in the future I will definitely be calling Fagnan's first!! Thank you!

My furnace has been making a loud, grinding noise. Fagnans came - the furnace would not make the noise. I hired Fagnans to clean it. Still makes the noise. Have called repeatedly to make arrangements to have a new motor installed (the fellows that came to my house have said from the start that if noise continues, I will likely need a new motor) only to be told they will call back and then they don't call back. I have been waiting this time around since Wednesday and today is Friday. I called them to be told that the person who was to call back is not in today. The person answering the phone today was unable or more likely, unwilling to respond to any questions I had with respect to a new motor for my furnace. Given the time of year (October in Alberta), I asked if I should simply make other arrangments to have a motor installed by another company. The person answering the phone today was rude and because of her I will not have further dealings with Fagnans. It is now the principle of this whole thing. I have paid to have the furnace cleaned. Recently I spent over $100 to have a 'blower' installed to fix the noise but within 5 hours of that the noise was back. I have been saying since August to the person on the phone I think it's the motor but to no avail. The guys that have been in my house over the last 2 or 3 months have been very good and very helpful. This particular office staff today is really the sole reason I will no longer deal with Fagnans.

This team was punctual, knowledgeable and very efficient. They were in and out within an hour and left our house with 26 clean vents and a much happier furnace. This is the only company I call when I need my furnace worked on or cleaned.

I shopped around for a new furnace and ac and liked the Carrier product and Kyle Fagnan more than the other vendors. I bought the Carrier Infinity 96 Furnace and Carrier Infinity 16 AC and the Infinity Mytouch thermostat. I couldn't be happier with the product and I was really happy with how helpful and pleasant everybody was at Fagnan's. I ordered the furnace and AC and scheduled the install for a week later and Fagnan's installers showed up on time and completed the job in the amount of time they had promised. Kyle Fagnan was very mellow and when we met to get a quote, he wasn't pushy or aggressive in any way whatsoever. Kyle seamed more interested in simply making sure I was happy with whatever choice I made. The system is great, it's transformed life in the summer at my home and the wifi thermostat is outstanding.... it's pretty cool changing the temperature from my bed. I couldn't be happier with Fagnan's and I will be calling them for all my HVAC needs.

Had a furnance fail on a saturday night and could not get a hold of any company until I actually talked to someone at Fagnan's at 7am on Sunday. Everyone else was "closed" or just an answering machine. Had someone contact me in an hour after the initial call. John was able to show up in 2 hours and fix the issues in an hour and had all the parts on board (even though it was an older model lennox furnace). Gave great advice and was very curtious and cleaned up after himself. Thanks for the quick response and showing me the issues.

We bought a house 2 yrs ago and to our surprise our 6yr old high efficiency furnaces failed in our first year in the house. The furnaces had been poorly maintained by the previous owner and also were not very good furnaces to begin with. We had Keith in from Fagnans who pretty much diagnosed the problems instantly. He was very knowledgable and very cost conscious and recommended that we not repair the furnaces. Fagnans put together a deal we could not refuse on a set of new carrier furnaces and have really saved us some big money in the short and long term. Our new furnaces have been running for a year and we couldn't be happier with them. We recently had Keith from Fagnans back to clean our ducts and for regular maintenance on our furnaces and can't say enough good things about him. In short, he really knows what he is doing and makes recommendations like it were his own house and he were spending his own money. I feel like the Fagnans guys have really come through for my family in a big way and look forward to dealing with them for many years to come.

I had four companies come to my house and provide me with estimates on installing a Central Air Conditioner. I went with Fagnan's because I liked the brand they offered (Carrier), the fact that they've been in business since 1971, the sales-person, Kyle Fagnan was part of the family and they offered a very competitive price on a very good unit.
Based on Kyle's estimation, the optimal A/C for our house was a 3.5tonne unit.

On the day of the install, Jack and Justin came on time, 9am, and completed the job by mid-afternoon. They were polite, friendly and clean. Also, neither one of them smoked which is a huge plus (I've picked up more cigarette butts from contractors than I care to remember).

Shortly after the unit was installed, I went on the Carrier website to register the unit. In doing so, I found out that the wrong unit had been installed - they installed a 3tonne unit instead of a 3.5 tonne unit.

Upon discovering this issue, I called Kyle to tell him what happened. He replied that he would look into the situation and he would call me back. 2 Hours later, Kyle phoned me back and admitted they put the wrong unit in and promptly asked me when they could come back to my house and swap the unit out. He did not ask me to "try out" the 3 tonne unit or give me any kind of run-around whatsoever. There was a problem and they made it right!

While Fagnan's did make an error, I'm extremely impressed with how they handled it and I will not go anywhere else for anything related to my HVAC needs.

My furnace quit working and the house had quickly decreased in temperature. I called Fagnan's and they responded quickly to check out the furnace before the house got too cold. They identified that the ignitor had failed which they were able to replace. The service man also emphasized the importance of changing the filter to prevent dust from damaging the ignitor.

When we were looking for an air conditioner, we contacted Fagnan's for a quote. We went with them because their price was competitive, and we felt they were very honest - eg: they did not try to sell us on two units like many others did, even though we have two furnaces. He was very honest in saying that we should just get one unit first, and if we felt it was needed in the future, they would supply the second as well.
