New stairs and flooring refinishing.
We contracted Vintage Flooring to re-finish some flooring and finish a new set of stairs. After six months they still weren't finished and they were using moulding to cover over defective workmanship. They flooring guys sanded deep grooves into our hardwood and had to come back and re-do the whole job. The stair guys came on site and left after two days saying he had another job that was a higher priority.
They did send a "fix it guy" to repair the damage but then they refused to heed his advice because it would have cost them money. Instead they accused us of being difficult to work with. We had used them before and had accepted a sub-standard tile job where they had to cut grooves in the grout to allow for the deck to drain because they didn't level the substrate first. Should have learned our lesson. Slick salesmen but not ethical business practices, poor quality work. We paid all invoices within 24 hours and still got treated like fools. Our fault for giving them a second chance, shame on me!
