Mr Potlight

Mr. Potlight installed 8 lights in my living room. Very knowledgeable about how many lights to put and where to put them. Good work and it was very quick (about an hr). I paid extra to obtain ESA inspection and approval. I personally want to have the installation ESA certified.

This post-installation ESA certification process is a pain because the installing contractor (Mr. Potlight), not home owner, has to submit the inspection request. So, I had to pay Mr. Potlight who submitted the request and paid the fee to ESA which, in turn, will arrange an inspector to give me a call to arrange a time. Of course, with the money already paid, the only party that really cares was me. The inspector didn`t call me back over a period of 1.5 months after at least 3 or 4 voice msgs. I had to call ESA, obtained the inspector`s supervisor contact number, left a msg there and the inspector returned my call the next day. But then he was really grumpy when he came for the inspection. There were some minor improvements he wanted. Mr. Potlight returned and did those requested improvements. It took another month or two before the inspector returned and gave an ok.

John's crew of two men arrived at my door on a Friday afternoon, installed 6 potlights in my kitchen. We discussed placement of potlight. Let me tell you, I was amazed at the work the two of them did. They finished the job quick with no mess. Amazing job, quick, clean and very good workers. John I will have you back soon and will recommend you to my friends. (I already did) Thanks once again, you did such a good job for me. Anyone looking for good workers with quality work, Mr. Potlight is your man!

Mr. Potlight installed approx. 24 exterior potlights in very cold temperatures in 2008. The electricians arrived on the scheduled day, worked very quickly and did not leave until the job was done that day. They were all very professional and did an excellent job.

John is vey busy, you have to talk to him quick for go though details. Therefore, I will not recommend to anyone like to anyone who prefer go though the project with your contractor slowly.

This guy is in popular demand. It's him and 2 other guys that do the installation. You tell them where you want lighting and they will suggest the placement and quantity of lights. I was weary of increasing the number of lights (because i originally thought i was being upsold); however the number was correct for the area i wanted lit. You buy the dimmer swtiches and he will install. There were a couple places where they had to drill to fish wire, but they patched it without any mess. With any contractor, i fell you have to tell them what you want and don't be afraid to ask questions. They will always try to get the job done in the quickest time possible and least amount of effort. For example, if you want the light switch to be in a certain spot and they say it's tough to get it there....well !@#% it; you're paying for the job so let them sweat it out and get it done to your satisfaction. They have long drill bits to fish wire, it just takes some effort. Overall i was satisfied with the service. Look at your bill and add it up yourself because he doesn't walk with a calculator. He charged me $79/light for the main floor.

Mr. Potlight was not only an unbeatable price, but he was efficient, clean and very polite in our home. He has the right tools to do the best job with VERY little mess. I was impressed with his professional layout of the ceiling lights and how he finished the job as he said. We've referred him to many friends and family and everyone is completely satisfied. Great company to hire and feel confident that the job is done right.

John was fabulous! He told me ahead of time what valance lights he would need and told me he could have 30 potlights installed in 1 day. He was so nice as to do a layout of the number and placements of lights he would recommend as we had never done potlights before. Not only was he finished on time, but his team was efficient and polite. They cleaned up all the drywall debris and wiring and at the end of the project, took me through the house and showed me which lights were on which switched. I like that he is a licensed electrician and that he "highly recommended" an inspection so as not to void the warranty on our home. He even scheduled the inspector for us (this upcoming Wednesday). I would highly recommend John and Mr Potlight. The lights look wonderful and everything was done as promised and for a price that is very reasonable.

Mr. Potlight installed 8 potlights in my living room with 2 dimmers plug another 4 potlights else where in the house. They were trying their best not to leave even a single hole in the drywall, after trying to fish a wire for 40 minutes they had to open up a small hole in the drywall. Mr. Potlight told me ahead of time that they need to open up a small hole in the drywall, but what impresses me is that they try for 40 minutes before putting a hole in the drywall. Their effort is commendable. Overall, they delivered as promised, no mess, reasonable price, on-time performance. One of their guys even vacuum the area before leaving. I would recommend their to my friends.

Upon searching the market to find a contractor for installing few pot lights in my living room, I ran into “Mr. Potlight” advertisement almost a month ago. John, the owner and technician, answered the phone himself. Although I realized that he was busy working for some other customers at the time, nonetheless he patiently answered my questions. He scheduled a visit to give me an estimate of project thereafter. Knowing that I had some scheduling conflicts that day, he accommodated me by not only changing the schedule, but showing up on-time. We sealed the deal and scheduled the installation for a Monday afternoon at 5:00 PM. The crew showed up at my driveway at 4:59 PM and finished the job in less than 2 hours (as previously promised). Crew was exceptionally professional and no mess was left behind. Hats off to the team.
Will I recommend this guy? Certainly!
