Fridge & Dryer repair

I called Joe, the Appliance Guy, as he had very good reviews from his customers. He called me back asap and scheduled an appointment with me to fix my fridge. He is honest, reliable and knowlegable in his field. I would highly recommend Joe Corrado for any of your appliance repairs.

Kenmore Drier

Joe called me back quickly and was in my house in less than 3 hours. He tackled the problem within a half an hour. The drier works better but still isn't hot enough. Normally I would hesitate to call someone back to take a peak at the issue again, but Joe was so professional and personable that I don't feel unconfortable to give him a quick call. That is someone I feel stands by the work they do.

5 year old gas range fan making noise

Joe called me back within minutes of getting my message. I explained that the fan needs to be replaced and confirmed the repair after asking a few questions over the phone. He asked me to provide the model number, which I did later that night at 8pm. By 10am the next day we was on his way with the necessary parts. He was very prompt and worked efficiently to complete the job in less than an hour. Our range is running like new!

Great customer service and someone who I will recommend and definitely call again if needed.

Washing Machine, Dishwasher and Stove

I got Joe's name and number from a friend, who highly recommended Joe to me, I was definitely not disappointed when I called Joe; he came right away and fixed my problem.
Joe made sure that his service and labour was very cost effective and fit my budget. I am very happy with Joe and the repairs to my appliances, i.e. Stove, Dishwasher and Washing Machine.
I would not hesitate to recommend Joe's services to anyone.

Dryer and D/W repair

On 2 separate occasions I called Joe to come by (on short notice - and he did!) to investigate/fix the problems (i.e. if they could be fixed) on our dryer and dishwaser. On both occasions Joe was able to pinpoint that problems and clearly explain what the problems where and what needed to be done. More importantly, I felt Joe went the extra mile to ensure he ran a full diagnostic on each appliance so as to ensure there would be no further issues down the road (i.e. in order to weigh the cost benefit of fixing the applicance or buying a new one). I dont' know a lot of guy's who would go the extra mile to do this and it is much appreciated! I would recommend Joe in a heartbeat for anyone looking to get appliance repairs done - he really knows his stuff! (cost for both repairs was about $300 - much cheaper than purchasing two new units and saved us a lot of $$).

Electric range repair

I have had the pleasure of having Joe repair 2 of my appliances. The electric range repair he completed today (replacing the digital control panel)was done quickly and efficiently. In the past he was able to detect and repair a mysterious leak in my dishwasher with little trouble. His prices are very fair, his service prompt and courteous. I well definitely recommend his services to my friends!

Front Load Stacking Dryer Repair

Being a business owner and busy mother, wasting time waiting for someone is I luxury I can't afford. Joe was AWESOME he gave me a window of service and called me to narrow our appointment down to 30 minutes. He explained ALL of my options before starting the work and TOGETHER we made the best decision for my needs. He replaced my igniter button and my timer on the dryer. Other's had used him in the past and recommended him to me and I am glad they did. I now have a machine that will last me several more years and a service person I will use and recommend forever.

Stove repair

I called the Appliance Guy to fix my stove explaining in 2 messages and by phone and in person that the baking element was not working on our stove and that when we self-cleaned it, it was stuck closed. He worked on the self-cleaning problem for over an hour and then "didn't realize" that the baking element was broken. He said it wasn't worth fixing our stove but insisted I pay him for 2 hours of time he spent. If he had listened to me, he could have checked out the baking element problem and concluded that we needed a new stove in minutes and I would have just had to pay the minimum. He is a really nice guy but I wouldn't use him again.

I really tried my best to salvage your range. In order for me to have been able to check the oven properly I had to unlock the self-clean mechanism and ensure that it would remain unlocked. In my 30 years of experience, I have had many ranges that don’t bake because of the lock mechanism. I thought that by fixing the lock mechanism, I would get the range to bake. After spending time on the lock mechanism I was able to manage a way to set it to bake without the lock mechanism being stuck on lock. Unfortunately, the pc board was not allowing power to get to the bake element on one side of the line. It turns out, in this case, that we were dealing with two problems: the lock mechanism and the printed circuit board. There was no physical evidence that your bake element was broken. Sometimes they do break when they burn out. In this case, your bake element is just fine; however, the problem is with the circuit board. It would be my pleasure to order a new pc board and come back and install it for you, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE for my labour. It is very important to me that my customers are happy.

Maytag kitchen stove repair

After 5 years of use, my Maytag kitchen stove decided to quit on me (one electric element on top and the oven stopped working). I did some reesearch on the Internet and based on the customer feedback found on this website, I decided to call Joe. He came the next day and took the stove apart, found the issues and assembled the stove back so we could use the 3 elements on top still working. The following day he came with the parts, installed them and everything worked flawlessly. I am completely satisfied with the quality of service and the price, considering he had to replace one electric element on top and the relay which controls the oven. I strongly recommend Joe, he's a truly professional.

Washer repair

Had the infamous F-D/L error on 5-yo Whirlpool Duet Washer GHW9100LW1 occurring off and on the past year, and finally couldn't get it to work. Scouring the web, taking apart and testing the door lock, figured it was probably a CCU problem rather than the door lock. Called an appliance repair company and couldn't even get them to call me back or even book an appointment.

Then found Appliance Guy by Googling on Appliance Repair in Toronto. Knew exactly what my problem was, confirmed that it was probably the CCU, had extra parts (even door locks) on hand. Had another repair call in my neighbourhood the next day, so came down replaced the CCU in 1/2 hr which got the washer working and it's been fine ever since (1 month.) I think the breakdown was new CCU ~ $210, labour $70. Slight miscommunication on the final price, but overall very competent, prompt, and highly recommended.
