One noteworthy instance of their dedication was when we encountered a structural challenge during the renovation. Somerset team collaborated directly with our architect, coordinated with the city inspection team and structural engineers, successfully addressing the issue.

The project timeline was meticulously planned, and the team ensured that skilled tradespeople were well-coordinated. Each task was approached with thoroughness and accountability. We started planning in July construction started in September 2022, we successfully completed the project by April 2023, meeting our tight timelines, thanks to Somerset Construction Team's diligent efforts during challenging times.

City inspections were efficiently coordinated and completed, further highlighting the team's organizational prowess.

Post construction we reached out to them asking to address some of the minor issues. The team documented all the issues, they came back very quickly and addressed all the minor fixes.

Regarding payments, the team demonstrated a high level of detail, thoroughness, and transparency. Every expenditure was meticulously accounted for, instilling confidence in the financial aspect of the project.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Somerset Construction Team, specifically their President and Project Manager. They attentively listen to your needs and provide an accurate depiction of the project, making them a reliable choice for any construction endeavor.

Somerset did a fantastic job on our renovation. After our designs shifted due to pandemic cost increases, they gave us a number and stuck to it. All the trades were courteous and professional, and we are extremely happy in our new home.

Somerset - Graeme, Sandeep, and their very professional team of subcontractors - did a wonderful job in renovating the kitchen and main floor of our semi-detached house. Somerset provided sage and realistic advice and guidance throughout the process. We are very pleased with the results and would gladly contract Somerset again.

We can't recommend them highly enough- super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We had an old bathroom redone, including tearing out a derelict whirlpool tub from when we moved in several years ago. We were able to pick exactly the new fixtures, tiles, and colours we wanted, got great advice from Daniel and his team, and a reasonable quote- not the cheapest but definitely competitive. But even more importantly, the work was done on time, to specifications, and any little thing that came up like redoing the pot lights or putting in a storage niche by the bathtub was easily accommodated. Daniel himself came by towards the end to touch up paint and water sealing, and we now think our new little bathroom is now one of the nicest parts of our house! We've had issues with other contractors in the past, but Somerset was a class act all the way through. Please do give them a call for any renovation needs, we highly recommend then!

At the onset, Graeme was honest about costs and timing. No fluff to win the contract by overpromising. Subsequently they beat the initial time estimate and also came within budget, so as promised.

The scheduling was tight and the trades were excellent. No drama, and the planning was smooth. They were very responsive. Offered suggestions along the way that were helpful. With any incremental changes, they got it done.

A rare, enjoyable experience with a large exterior home renovation. We love the home!

Somerset completed the complete gut and overhaul of our newly purchased, uninhabitable, 1908 house. We couldn’t be happier with the process and the results; the team turned it into a home. Graeme, Sandeep, and the Somerset team treated all of our discussions with honesty and respect and we fully appreciated the partnership. My wife and I could not be more happy with the service we received from Somerset Construction and our relationship with them. For starters, we're thrilled with our (renewed) house. It's a beautiful as we had hoped and from the beginning we felt that Somerset shared that vision.

This happy result was the product of a very productive and collegial relationship with Somerset. With such a big job, we spent a lot of time together! We felt Somerset understood what we wanted, listened to our needs and tried to accommodate us as best as they could. Of course, our project had some inevitable surprises. Somerset helped us make good decisions under pressure and they worked hard to keep a lid on costs. In the end, our house was finished nearly on time and on budget. Everyone told us this wouldn't happen. Wrong!

Our one regret after moving back is saying a partial goodbye to Graeme and Sandeep. They were a welcome part of our lives and we owe them a debt of gratitude.

We retained Graeme @ Somerset Construction to manage the construction of our dream home in Port Credit. Our project was a full teardown of an old side-split house from the 1950's to build a modern 4000+ sq. ft. home. We were on a strict timeline, and though a few basement walls and some paint had yet to be done, we moved and celebrated Christmas in our new home within 10 months of the demolition of the old house.

Building a house from a hole in the ground is never easy, but Graeme ensured our dealings with the various trades were smooth and, where necessary, fixed promptly. He and his trades made great suggestions along the way without pushing an "upsell" - many little changes we never thought of made a big difference. Every issue and step in the construction plan was addressed in a straight up, direct, and professional manner. Importantly, cost control was always at the forefront of his decisions and suggestions, and I have no doubt our project would have cost much more without his efforts. We have a dream home because of Graeme.

We selected Somerset to gut and renovate our Toronto house. We are very happy with the result and with their ability to keep things moving continuously and getting us back in our home within days of the anticipated end date. The quality of the work was top notch – and was apparent even before the drywall and finishings went up. Best of all, everyone was very easy to work with: both Graeme and Sandeep on the Somerset side, but also most of the sub-contractors I had occasion to interact with. For the majority of those sub-contacted jobs we went with Graeme’s suggestions of who he’s worked with in the past, and where we did, the results were fantastic.

Due to a permit situation, we had to cut this job in half and renovate the interior of our house first, and wait for a permit to do the exterior and an addition. Which means we could conceivably change contractors at this point if we weren’t entirely happy. But we won’t – we’ll gladly work with Graeme and Sandeep on the second phase of this project.
