Lawncare

My elderly parents ordered lawncare service (cut, fertilizing) from these people spring 2009. They paid for service into November, though my mother insisted November service made no sense because grass does not grow at that time. The woman insisted and my mother finally agreed. There were times they arrived and did not bother to service the backyard and had to be called back to complete. At the end of October 2009 they showed and noted no work had been done because the grass had not grown, yet mom was charged the full service fee. She called the company to demand a refund of the credit balance and to cancel service. She was rudely refused. I then called and was told in no uncertain terms the credit would not be returned and that although no service was performed the last time, a credit would not be issued - she would be charged the full rate. I suggested if they were going to charge, that they should do some work for the charge. She told me they do not mulch leaves with their mowers and that the charge would stand. In my opinion, they have treated my elderly mother with total disrespect. A professional business owner does not lash out at customers. They listen to the issue and take a responsible position. I myself use a great lawn care company and will ensure that my parents are provided the courteous, professional service they deserve next year.

Annual Lawncare service 2008

We signed the contract in 2008 but we were not satisfied with the service. sales rep called us and we denied the service. they still sent the invoice. We are not going to pay...will take matter to court if needed.

Lawn Service

Based on quote & discussion with sales person from Servicemaster Lawn Care [SM], 3170 Ridgeway Dr. Mississauga , signed for only 1yr service for 2008 & paid total in check Mar'08.
SM was bad last year & and SM reps that came to do the work would just do it in less than 5min and go away. My lawn was bad even after their service last year, resulting that I had get rid of the weeds,buy soil and do extra seeding in spring this year.
In Apr09 get invoice for $50, though I did not renew. Called SM Apr, May2009 & left vmessage 9056073521 to cancel & no response. On Jun22 got Barb online & she was rude on the phone, claimed automatic renewal clause on contract & i had to have cancellation#, to stop & uttered threats that I had to pay, else inform credit bureau. June23 receive invoice+cancellation fee for$100. Checked letter issued Mar08 & there is no automatic renewal clause. This is bad service and a hoax of getting money. Hope this company can be stopped - seen numerous bad reviews on your site and I think I am not the 1st.. Let this be the last.
Don't recommend this branch of Service Master in Mississauga.

lawn care

I hired this company for 2007 lawan care. in fall/ winter they called back for service renewals and agreed to same terms as last year taht was prepay ment in early part of year by feb-march and get 10% discount, and get aeration done in early spring. I never recvd no bill, nothing on paper confirming this and today at end of april they are calling that they will be coming to do spring fertilizer. I called this comapany to ask and cancel they say they will charge $50, and customer service rep said they will not loose the case in samll courts as they always win. ladies will not give their name were most rude, and almost happy that they get$50 for free. They hang the phone said they dont want customrs like me. SO basically i feel that this company does this on purpose, that they first dont sent the bills and then people go ahead and have different company thinking they are not coming, and they glee on making free money.

I was talking to a neighbour about this she said it was same for her, this is the general modus operandi .

Coming on their lawn care, they are not pricey costs are very reasonable but waht they do is not at all good.

I had my lawn and many other friends I know who had their service last year all were unhappy with the service, but since they called I still agreed to go with them.

I would say never to go with this company as not good people to deal with, better pay something more and get a good company

lawn care

Similar experience to below. CAncelled service as we were having
construction. Company sprayed lawn anyway when we were away and
billed us. Also spoke to Barb: said they didn't want "willy nilly
people like us as customers". Charged $50 cancellation fee. I have
never been spoken to like that by a customer service rep in my
life. This is a terrible company. Never use them.

Weed killing and lawncare

I started up with a nice sales agent on the phone. Then the promises he had made of the special deal were not applied. Talked to Barb, who is seriously a lady that needs to have customer service training! She was the most rude, person with no sense of understanding! I couldn't bellieve that when I had spoken to the sales agent, who was so nice, that the person actually owning teh company would be like that!! Not AT ALL understanding and trying to make it seem as though I was not telling the truth! Then the final talk that we had last year when she refused to apply any type of discount to ath eaccount ahd charged the full blown price! I just paid it off and told her that i NEVER want to do business with her! GUESS WHAT happens this year???!!! they come and spray my lawn without anyy authorization, sayign that she had sent contionous notice! I said I had talked to her before and she said "oh I wouldve remembered that!" can you believe that! SHe is charging and refuses to refund service worth 40 Dollars on the lawn that I had precisely told her NOT to do! it was SOOO frusterating and unbelievable! There was no way out! I was stuck! SO SERIOUSLY PEOPLE CONSIDERING THEM, I WOULD REALLY SAY THINK TWICE!!! YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE TRAPPED WITH A PERSON LIKE THAT! When I informed my father, he asked about the package rate, and I said I would never want to giv emy business to soemone who does not know how to talk to a person! She is COMPLETELY deirespectful. Unbeliveable! :( :( :( the experience will cause you useless stress! The reason that I had started with them because the salesperson seemed so nice and understanding, completely opposite of what the company actually is.
