My cousins and I bought a couch and paid for delivery. The agreed time with the store was 6pm in the evening. I agreed because my cousin would be home at 6pm on that day. The day of the delivery the delivery driver calls at 4pm to say he’s 15 minutes away. I advised him that wasn’t the agreed time since no one would be home. The delivery driver said this is the only time he can do it or we would have to reschedule. My cousin said she would try for 5:30 but cannot guarantee. She unfortunately couldn’t make it so it was reschedule for Saturday.
Saturday comes and they couldn’t provide a delivery time. The store said the evening but delivery driver said 2-4. Driver texted and said he was running late and can make it for 4:30-5 !!! Then demanded $50 for the reschedule !
Why are we paying an additional $50 for there poor timing and miscommunication amongst themselves. I told him no we are not paying it. Then he advised us that the product would be back at the store. Once I complained to the store they did nothing about it. I asked for money to be refunded and I would take them to court. Eventually they agreed and gave delivered our couch but left it downstairs in the building.... horrible.
Once again, you should not pay any additional fee if someone provides you a time and place for your belongings... then reschedules on you because they are unorganized.
