Royal Stone Landscaping & Design

We hired Royal Stone Landscaping and Design for our complete backyard makeover in the fall of 2020. This included pool with water feature, stone work, planting and a pergola construction.
We are very happy with the end result. The design plan made very good use of space in our small backyard and the execution was professional from planning, through permitting process and project completion.
We encountered delays (about 2 months) versus our original planned pool opening date. Labor and materials were in high demand industry wide summer 2021 so our pool ended up being completed/opened in July vs May.
Tim, our project manager, was responsive in keeping us informed of delays and resolving issues that arose through the project (leak in jets and water feature).

Royal Stone has repaired the issues surrounding a buried post by digging it out and removing it. We are now satisfied

Dealt with Angelo who was always available and responsive. The team came out and did my backyard with new cement base and patio stones. Not very complex project. They have top notch gear and work crews. All the work was done in 2 separate days, but completed phases, nothing left hanging. The best part about the work was the fact they were fast, reliable, clean and open to suggestions and ideas. Angelo was nothing but helpful and trustworthy. We also did our driveway thru Royal Stone. Very positive experience.

We installed the Pool in the summer of 2017, we have issues from the 1st beginning, and Hayward techs found that it was due to poor installation of the Hayward Omnilogic, by missing installation of one sensor.
We had to call every year for several repairs. Now we have to change a major part that got damaged due to poor installation, and was in warranty, but since they didn't report it on time, it is out of warranty.
OUr pool light stoped working due to wanted leak(again poor installation).
Their customer service don't reply to messages.
They also installed roof for our pergola, that was broken on the 1st week of use, and they promise to fix it for the past 3 years, without success.

Totally unprofessional staff and company. Stones that has been installed is not the same what agreed on.
Had to call so many times to follow up with staff and no one reply back.
I recommend that no one ever try this company and any service with them will be waste of money

I’m sure they do beautiful work but probably not suited for smaller jobs. Perhaps it was because it was late in the season but we were never made to feel like we were a priority even after paying for a concept drawing and providing a deposit for the work. It was disappointing the job was never started. But I do believe they do very nice work for projects that are larger in scope.

I was pleased that they provided a prompt refund of the deposit. Unfortunately not for the drawing which was prepaid with the understanding that it would be a credit once we signed a contract.

Again I am not posting to be negative about the company. I just want to share my experience as a novice for someone looking to do some work in the future. I never factored in the possibility that the work would not be completed and the cost of the sketch would not be absorbed into final cost of the project. Any new firm would work and revise from their own drawing before beginning a job. Just something to consider if you are on a budget.

We're really happy with Royal Stone company! They're very professional and friendly people, it was a pleasure to work with them. Excellent quality and accuracy. We choose an exposed aggregate and have no regrets with our decision, our house looks absolutely gorgeous with the new landscaping now.

So impressed with the Royal Stone team. From design to installation, best in class in my books. Basically dug out the entire backyard in a day, and graded and reset in a day. No time wasted. The crew is large but efficient. Thanks again to Evan and team for everything.

An amazing project delivery. Well designed and delivered. Great comments of "Good job!" by passerby and neighbours. A friend said "A very satisfactory, admirable and pleasing job". Well laid stones and well delivered project. Worked within the timeline. Amazing workers/staff. Project manager Tim Flyn did a wonderful job.
