Can't say enough good things about this company. We had a huge 2-level deck and a balcony torn out and replaced. The crew was skilled, smart, polite, super kind to our dog and resourceful - when we needed a downspout elbow and it wasn't immediately available Arthur 3D-printed one!! I was impressed by the little extras we hadn't expected - the waterproofing applied to all of the structural support beams, the landscaping fabric and gravel placed under the deck to prevent any growth (we'd had bare earth before), the nice finishing around corners and the use of a concrete saw to neatly edge a sill badly formed in a previous renovation that the deck boards would abut. When there was a problem with width variations in the manufacturer's composite boards, they carefully rearranged boards and corrected spacing between them so sections of the deck looked visually perfectly aligned. So many ways this crew surpassed expectations. We are delighted and convinced that this new deck will long outlive us. Highly recommend.

Royal Decks provided design options with a really useful visualization tool (see pic), provided an estimate, and then acquired all the permits and built the deck.

All the people - Steve, Michael, Arthur, Charles - who worked on the deck were friendly, hard-working and highly skilled, as well as going above and beyond by building in the winter - see pic of Arthur under our cottage drilling the side of the deck! They problem-solved and discussed options with us for specific questions.

From the beginning we were very impressed with Miro and Royal Decks. We had a bit of a complicated deck project and though we wanted something simple in design, Miro's design included extra details and little touches that would keep it from looking too cookie-cutter. When we had some issues with the city, Miro went above and beyond in his dealings with them. We were throughly impressed with how quickly the job was completed - a few days less than what was stated in the contract. Patrick was our carpenter and he did an excellent job. The crew was professional and friendly and pretty much kept to themselves. The site was cleaned up a day after completion and were were able to enjoy our beautiful new deck after about a week and of half from the start date. Communicating with Miro and others at the company was very easy - emails were returned promptly and any questions or concerns were dealt with quickly. Royal Decks is a very reliable company that treats its customers well and also does a wonderful job of designing and building the deck that suits your needs. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

Royal Decks came highly recommended by a very satisfied friend and we were not disappointed. Miro was very helpful and patient in the design phase and we were able to visit the shop to coordinate railing and deck materials. The process was carefully supervised and we had plenty of opportunity to discuss any concerns or changes. The crew were timely, conscientious and unbelievably hardworking. Dave in particular takes great pride in neat and precise carpentry. His bench is a work of art and the deck is solid as a rock. We are very happy to recommend their work.

Royal Decks constructed a simple but highly functional deck off the rear of our recently renovated home. This is a solid structure that uses composite decking and pressure treated 2"x 10" joists throughout. It was finished with a glass railing and privacy screening at the ends of the deck. This is a wonderful safe place for two three year old children to play. Miro was quite creative in suggesting design alternatives to take best advantage of a small yard. We were happy with the workmanship and friendliness of Adrian, the carpenter who did most of the work. We have no hesitation in recommending Royal Decks and Miro as a competent contractor who works with the utmost integrity and commitment to his clients.

We love our new deck! A big thank you to Royal Decks for building it on time and on budget. After one of the big box home improvement stores failed to show up (twice) we renewed our search and selected Royal Decks to build our deck. Miro provided a detailed design and cost estimate, and arranged for us to see an example of their work. Monica helped with the selection of materials, and Harley completed the build on top of 10-foot steel helical piles! We are very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and materials. I don't normally take the time to write a review, but in this instance I had to take a few moments to express my gratitude. After completing an exhausted search in finding the right deck builder for our backyard, I had the pleasure of coming across Royal Decks. From the moment I met Julian (our design consultant) I knew we found the right company to complete the job to my high standards. Julian had promptly and courteously answered all our questions throughout the deck build and responded to all of my many, many emails regarding design changes. Harley who actually built our deck is an extremely talented craftsman. I just can't say enough about his attention to detail, talent and skill-set. Extremely polite. Always kept the job sight as clean as possible and went out of his way to keep us happy when we asked for design tweaks. If you decide to go with Royal Decks, make sure you ask for Harley to build your deck. You won't regret it! Great job Royal Decks, my wife and I are couldn't be happier.
