After 4 frustrating days of not being able to drain water from the sinks, bathtubs nor flush toilets, and dealing with many people from my home insurance company and plumbers, I was so relieved to have found the Rooter Group Inc, Etobicoke on HomeStars.

Lester Parris, owner of this franchise answered the phone, and he and his partner, Mirko came within 2 hours of my phone call. They were able to give me a thorough diagnose of the problem, and a very reasonable quote for the job. They brought in two crew members, Tadek and Slavik to begin work immediately. The problem was a massive tree root blocking the main drain. By evening on the same day, we were able to use the sinks, bathtubs and toilets.

Using a sophisticated camera, Lester and Mirko showed me the entire old ceramic drain pipe was clogged with tree roots, and needing replacement with CVP pipes. They understood that I had a tight budget, so they did not push me to do the next phase of the work. However, I valued and trusted their expertise and advice, and decided to continue the next phase of the work, which included the installation of a backwater valve, clean outs, and the replacement of a galvanized steel water pipe with copper (the City did not replaced, unbeknownst to me).

They informed me about the City's Basement Flooding Prevention Subsidy Program, whereby I can apply for a subsidy once a backwater valve and clean outs are installed, and passed the City's inspection. This was very helpful information.

They were professional, were on site every day and took pride in their work. They took care to organize the removal of the old pipes and ensured we had functioning faucets and toilets. The crew cleaned up everyday. At every phase of the work, Lester and/or Mirko would explain what was completed, and what the plans were for the following day. They ensured I was happy with the work and clean up before leaving each day.
