Rent A Son

I recently broke my ankle & was unable to perform the annual fall cleanup of my backward. I was uncomfortable hiring just anyone, but felt very comfortable in contacting Rent A Son after reviewing their website and the reviews on this site. I was very impressed from my first contact with the company. Their representative was extremely helpful explaining how their services worked and ensuring they understood the type of work I needed done. Within 24 hours I was sent my Rent A Son, Alex. I had a long list of things to do including, raking leaves, cutting the lawn, bringing house plants and patio cushions into the house; putting lawn furniture into the sheds, and cutting back annuals from the more than 20 hanging baskets and pots I had in the backyard. Alex was extremely polite, professional and a hard worker. I simply provided him with a list of the work to be done, pointed out where things were, and he was off!

I was sent an email confirmation of my order and an invoice confirming the costs. Lastly they sent me an email with a link asking for my feedback to ensure their services met with my satisfaction and to help them improve where needed (no improvement required as far as I was concerned).

Not being able to do this work myself for the first time was giving me a lot of anxiety. Rent A Son was the perfect solution for me and was worth every cent. I won't hesitate to call them again or to recommend them to family and friends.

Rent-a-son helped us with our office move. Nick and his help came on time - they were patient and did a thorough job disassembling our office cubicle walls and packing them into the truck. They were very efficient - fast and no damage. Thanks guys!

The flexibility of the "sons" is helpful beyond measure. I found them friendly and professional. Being able to call on them on a moment's notice removed a lot of stress and work as we prepared our home for sale.

Kevin and Murad came to move some heavy furniture in my apartment. They were prompt, friendly and efficient and took exceptional care of the items and the walls. They accomplished more than I expected and in less time. I will definitely use this company again and tell my friends.

It's a bit more money than hiring the guy down the street, but they are not scary and they respect your walls! They hustled.
They tried to fit a mattress up to my third floor, couldn't but really tried their hardest. I've been a mover before and they did an honest effort.

We moved August 21st, 2010. The two people Nick and Murad showed up and were eager to start working. The speed at which they worked was amazing. Very little supervision was needed. The truck was packed very well and they used their head about maximizing the space.

The only thing that was dirtied was the king mattress. It was the end of the day and both Nick and Murad were very tired. Eight hours of moving will do that to you, but they were told that the bedroom set was the highest priority to protect. The mattress cover was also not the zippered type.

Overall, this move was great. Nick and Murad both stayed for lunch and dinner and the majority of the house was moved very easily. Thank You Rent-a-son for sending Nick and Murad. I have shared our story several times to friends and family about your great service.

For anyone using Rent-a-son make sure you spend good money on the packing supplies. Nick and Murad made great use on the clear packing tape, covers and protectors we purchased. Make sure you prep the new place so that they are not wasting their time with shoes (We laid cardboard down everywhere). Make sure that the Rent-a-sons take their allotted breaks, lunches, and drink water . It helps them and they seem to tend to forget at the speed that they are moving.

Our yard work needs to be done this fall, so we'll probably having them back again. :-D

I hired 2 Rent a sons to move furniture around: I'm a designer "staging" a house in order to put it on the market to sell.
Alex was very new at this but wonderful. He thought of removing the pictures in the staircase prior the move. He organized them in order so it would be easy to put them back up. Javier seemed more in charge but had a bit of an attitude. The job took half the time than estimated. They are young and strong, perfect for the job of moving big items.

We were preparing for renovations in our basement and needed to move everything out and into the garage. I didn't want my husband and our friends to do it (their over 40 backs aren't what they used to be!)so I checked HomeStars for movers. Rent-A-Son had great ratings, and rightfully so. Two young, strong men, Daniel and John, showed up at our home exactly on time, they were extremely efficient (finished early) and very polite. They were also very careful not to cause any damage to my walls or my furniture. I will call them back when the renos are done to move everything back.

I first used Rent A Son to help declutter and move furniture to prepare for a house sale. I have also used them to do a garage clean-up, gardening, and to assemble and install Ikea cabinets. I have always had a very positive experience, with the young men being punctual, hard working, and polite. I will certainly use them again and would recommend them to others.
