Good price, on-time, extremely efficient, pleasant to have around, cleaned up beautifully, nice job - what more could you want? Our driveway is less than 7' wide, and most other companies couldn't do the job. Sam not only explained that they could do the job, but gave us a good understanding of our site conditions (concrete under asphalt), and very good advice about what to do. 8 guys and an army of equipment completed our job quickly and professionally. It has only been done a few days, but the driveway looks great and the water is draining away from the houses exactly as you'd want.

Nortown removed the old asphalt , prepared the base and laid the new asphalt of 900 sq. ft and prepared the base and laid 30 ft. of concrete border.

Our driveway was falling apart, and our retaining wall was crumbling. We contacted Nortown, and we received friendly, informative service, and a contractor was out to my location the next day. They provided me with an amazing quote, as well as references so we can talk to other client's who also use Nortown Paving. The work was completed fully, in a very professional and timely manner. Nortown followed up to see if we were satisfied with our repairs, and offered help if we needed it. Friendly, reliable and a hard working company.

Silvano and his crew did an excellent job replacing our asphalt driveway, and even took care of a few extra things. The quote was fair and the job was done on time. Very happy with how it tuned out and would highly recommend Nortown.

Along with our neighbour, we began looking for a company to re-pave our driveways. We had several companies come out and quote us on the job. We met with Sam one weekend and he took the time to explain the process and gave us great design ideas. The quote we received was mid-range of all the quotes however we felt confident that Sam and Nortown Paving would deliver a great finished product.
We had originally scheduled the job for the beginning of August but we received a call mid-July saying that they could come and complete the driveway. We were away at the time but Sam said that he would take care of it and ensure that everything went smoothly. During the excavation, they removed an old tree stump buried between the two neighbouring driveways. The stump and root system were a little larger than predicted. They filled in the area and compacted it however did not want to compromise the integrity of the driveway so they recommended that we wait a couple weeks and let the ground firm up even more.
Right on schedule, they returned to complete both driveway and were done in a few short hours.
The driveways look amazing and we would definitely recommend Nortown Paving to anyone looking at getting their driveways done.

Our driveway is 16 years old and it is a good size (I can park 8 cars) and is showing wear and I wanted to have the driveway replaced.

Based on Homestars reviews I called a few companies for quotes and Marc came over the next day to provide a quote. Marc is super friendly and easy to work with. I was thinking of either just replacing the asphalt driveway or doing additional paving stone work around the driveway. Marc gave me some very good recommendations and provided me with a quote for replacing the asphalt driveway alone or the asphalt driveway along with a paving stone soldier course along each side. Marc also encouraged us to get other quotes so that we would feel comfortable with whoever we chose. We decided to go with Marc and Nortown and have them do the driveway and soldier course. We didn't have to pay any down payment. Marc only wanted payment once the job was completed.

Marc and Nortown was terrific to work with. Marc is very responsive. If I reach out to him, I always get a response back within the same day, and often within the same hour. I was having other work done, and Marc accomodated my schedule. When the other work was done, he showed up 2 days later with a full crew. They were able to rip out the old asphalt, lay new stone down, put in place the soldier course and put in the new asphalt all in that morning (since my old driveway foundation was solid and I didn't have any problems with the foundation, he was able to do it all in one day, however, he had warned that if they found issues, then they would fix the foundational issues first and then come back later to lay the asphalt, however, it was not in the case for us). Marc also went to get the exact same paving stones (same brand, model and colour), except the larger size, that were used for our walkway so that it would be a perfect match.

They did a terrific job and the new driveway looks great. To me, the mark of a good company is the after sale service - will they be responsive after the job has been done and paid for. In my past experience with some other contractors, once I paid, they were hard to get a hold of after. Not Marc and Nortown. There was some touch up work that needed to get done after the driveway was set. I reached out to Marc and he showed up the next day and took care of it with a smile.

I have no hesitation in recommending Marc and Nortown. I learned from Marc that Nortown is a family business and they really take pride in the work they do, which was very evident. I've recommended him a few people already. Thank you Homestars for your reviews to be able to find Nortown.

We replaced some old sidewalks and our driveway. Nortown did the paving only, and did an excellent job coordinating their work with the company doing the interlocking pavers work. Silvano Savoia was our Nortown contact and he did a very professional job in preparing the quote, keeping us informed about timing of the work and following up after the work was completed. The work itself was done on schedule and on budget, and the workers on the job were friendly and efficient. We're very pleased with the quality of the results, and have received several compliments from our neighbours!
