Nissena Paving & Interlock

My wife checked out a number of paving companies but after meeting Diego she told me she felt ready to proceed. Diego came to the house numerous times and was very patient with us as we explored many different options. The crew was very professional and attention to detail was apparent. They took extra time to ensure cleanup on the driveway and road was complete. I don't know if you would picture paving a driveway to be an artistic endeavour but this talented group did just that. The curb appeal from the street has dramatically increased and we are very happy with the results. Price was the best around too.

We found Diego and his crew to be very professional and they have done a wonderful job. We are very satisfied with the paving work and the stone work that has been done. They are a very understanding organization as we had signed for the work to be done in 2014, but because of illness, we were not able to do that. With no questions at all, they agreed to a postponement until I had recovered. We are very pleased, and readily recommend Nissena, a wonderful company.

I just had my driveway relaid with asphalt, job executed by Nissena and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with their professionalism. Eddy and his men were patient and considerate and demonstrated a great deal of empathy clearing my doubts patiently on the technical aspects of driveway paving with asphalt. Eddy was there on time with his men at the appointed hour both during the excavation process and the relaying of the same after the waiting period. I stood by watching through the whole process as to how every individual worker was carrying out the job and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the care and meticulousness with which they accomplished the task. The quality of work though I am not necessarily competent to comment upon does seem very good going by the finish and the amount of asphalt that was spread out and the care that was taken for the compacting process and the grading and smooth finishing at the edges. Any day I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Nissena as my first choice to any one seeking a referral from me for work on the driveway.

had diego over for my driveway in 2013 it has been 2 winters without cracks and shifting has sunk about 1/2 inch where my wife parks if you need good work done listen to diego and his crew to their recommendations I am very happy with their work

Diego and his crew were working in the area and I had seen Nissena signs in my neighbourhood for years so I decided to call him for a quote. I have worked with many contractors over the years and I would say he is one of the most professional people I have worked with. He says what he will do and he does it ....on time and to perfection. His team was very professional, courteous and paid attention to detail. Diego has done many driveways in my area so I could see what his work looked like over the last 15-20 years and not one driveway had any of the issues I read about on other reviews. Nissena is the first company I would call if I needed any other work done again or if I knew of someone who needed a great contractor to work with. Again, highly recommended.

I used Nissena to pave my driveway in June 2012. Diego and his crew did an excellent job. I had given them a tight deadline because we wanted our driveway to be finished before a big party we were hosting. Diego assured me it would be done on time and it was. We recently moved to a new house and Diego was my first call. He and his crew just finished paving our driveway and pathway and it looks great. I would highly recommend this company and I'm sure I will use them again when we move to our next house.

First of all a few people wrote poor ratings for Nissena Paving all the others rated Nissena at 10. After meeting Diegao and his crew I find this hard to believe. I also rate Nissena at 10 (wish it could be a 15); Diego did show up on time as promised, he explained exactly what was required and what he would do he gave us a firm price at that time. Not cheap but very reasonable considering the amount of grading required. His crew arrived on time for excavation did the required work and went out of their way to make sure everything was cleaned up. When the interlock was finished we called Diego again. His crew again did show up on time and proceeded to work on the hottest day.to them doing a good job is more a passion than a job. They levelled the ground, put down screening, rolled and put down the asphalt they spent additional time making sure it was level and all the edges were finished properly. Again everything was cleaned and left neat and tidy. Our thanks to the crew for a Job well done and to Diego for checking to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will be getting Nissena to do our daughters driveway when required.

Diego and his crew are top notch. The quality and professional job they did for us cannot be matched. We have and will continue to recommend them to our family and friends.

This was an especially difficult job because the it is flat. If not done well, there would have been puddles. After 18 months, it still looks good. Diego is an expert.

Had to add pics. This is right around 4 years after work completed. ctober 2011. Bbb report files remains unresolved. bought my house knowing I'd need a new driveway I share it with a neighbour so had to wait until she was ready, her husband had just died so she left the details to me. I shopped around and decided to go with Nissena simply because the Rep was an acquaintance with friends of mine, his price was reasonable and Nissena does contract work for the city so I thought I was safe...WRONG!!! I wont go into all the details, you can find them if you search Better Business Bureau Nissena. Actually if you Google Nissena you'll find another person had the same issues but chose not to take it further.

So my situation: The Project Manager was Sebastian at first a really nice older gentleman then I signed the contract and he became a real brute I wont go into that as I'm going to take them to Small Claims and I'm not sure what I can write here. Needless to say when the work was finished I had the entire driveway running into two locations in my yard. This was a surprise to me and only discovered this when my neighbour and I ran a hose after the work was completed. I should add that they too had used his hose and it was tar sticky. Sebastian my neighbour and I ended up in a heated argument about this surprise, eventually I ended up talking with Diego (Owner) who agreed to give 200 off the cost pending my satisfaction...In other words if the driveway drained without flooding my yard I'd give the 200 back. Frankly I think he gave me the 200 because he understood my issue with dealing with Sebastian.

Fast forward to April 2012 The drainage is not so bad my yard has two wet spots which I was willing to deal with. It's the PLANTS or WEEDS growing in the driveway as well as ONE SPOT IN THE MIDDLE WHERE THE ASPHALT IS SO THIN IT'S CRACKING AND THE STONES ARE SURFACING...Still under warranty so I call Sebastian he comes by when I'm not home but leaves a buseness card saying they will fix....Nothing,...I call...dead air...my neighbour calls...dead air....my neighbour calls again and again as do I finally he reaches Diego who says well basically "Too Bad"...I enlist the help of the Better Business Borough and to my surprise when Nissena finally responded they claimed that because the "total amount was reduced by 200.00 that there would be no more complaints regarding warranty issues" WHAT.....! NO WAY Spending over 5000 not happy with the job as I knew it then and I would take 200 bucks to offset the warranty....Seriously, not to mention that Sebastian signed the warranty for one year on the day he got paid and still they didn't honour it. Looks like I'm going to have to navigate my way thru Small Claims Court which is quite a task. Nissena is likely hoping I wont go thru the trouble as I have everything needed to win.

All they needed to do was show a little respect honour the warranty and fix the issue of cracks and weeds growing in several locations.
