I called tom at megacity roofing on the strength of their reviews on homestars and he sent one of his roofers out right away to do a small repair on the same windy day as i called. I had called several large well-known roofing companies and had been given vague and expensive quotes over the phone but Tom was forthright and honest and his guy came out and did the work super fast and at a reasonable cost. I would recommend them to anyone needing roofwork.thanks tom.

After reading the comments on HomeStars & getting two other estimates we decided on Mega City Roofing to replace our flat roof & shingles. Their estimate was in the middle range.

Due to a lot of rain in October, the date the roof was to be replaced had to be cancelled twice. On the first clear day, Tom made sure we were the first on the list. There was a team of eight workers who completed the job in eight hours instead of two days.

We thank Tom, Randy & their crew for the professional work done. All went very smoothly including the clean-up. We have had no problems with our roof since & would highly recommend Mega City Roofing.

Our flat roof had a leak about 6 years ago and we got it fixed by a smaller company for a cheap price. This year it started leaking again and in more than one location. I called up 3 companies to get quotes. One of which was another smaller company that offered a cheap price again. One was one of the larger companies, but they didn't even return my call. MegaCity was the third company. They got back to me promptly, set up an appointment conveniently, and showed up on on time (bright and early at 8am!). Though their estimate was definitely not the cheapest, it was thorough, thoughtful, and fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. After signing off on the contract, Tom came to do a few quick patch ups before the actual job. We needed to wait quite awhile for the actual job to get started, but as mentioned in other reviews, the wait was reasonable considering it was a rainy summer and there were many jobs lined up in front of us. Communication was always comfortable and reassuring. Once the job was started in September, the team was proficient, respectful, and accommodating. The team found that the previous company that fixed our roof actually layered on top of the our older roof rather than removing and replacing. MegaCity found rotten materials and joists under all the extra layers of roofing that all needed to be replaced. They were very helpful in recommending what needed to be done and were reasonable in working around the unaccounted-for-costs. We watched them remove, if I recall properly, over 10 tons of waste from our roof. We were grateful for calling them in rather than the smaller cheaper company as that company would have very likely just have layered on more layers rather than replacing, adding even more weight to the already damaged roof. After the job was almost done, they let me climb up and have a look. They explained to me in detail what was done, and what it used to look like by comparing to our semi-detached neighbour (whose roof felt quite spongy). They did a great job of cleaning up and even took pictures of the final product for us such that we could be confident that our investment was well worthwhile. My family agrees with me, the price was worth it for the amount and quality of work done and for the excellent customer service. Thanks MegaCity!

I discovered a leak in my roof a while back and after some investigating I found out that some major damage had been done. There were several leaks near a peak which cause water to come in and run down two different slopes of my roof, completely rotting out the wood - it was so bad I nearly went right through while I was looking around up there. After getting a few quotes, I settled on Mega City. They weren't the cheapest but I was satisfied that they were the best, they left me feeling confident that they were the ones to handle the job. They did fantastic work and I couldn't be more happy with the results. It wasn't an easy job, but they did it with care and precision. They respected my property and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards.

We had our flat roof entirely replaced late October. We first spoke with Randy in late August, and we were quoted $9800 and told they'd get the job done in about 4-6 weeks. They were a bit later than estimated due to a lot of rain and a few emergency jobs, but kept us informed so we were never waiting. The day the roof was done, the team arrived right on time and got to work around 8 a.m. - they were completely done by the time we got home at 4 p.m., and they had cleaned everything up to the point that you couldn't even tell they were there!

The roof is as good as new, and no more leaks!

My leaking roof had to be replaced prematurely. Tom of Mega City Roofing recognized the urgency as further leak damage was a certainty. He covered it temporarily and adjusted his heavy schedule to accommodate the installation of a new roof immediately. Because Mega City had excellent reviews on HomeStars, no other quotes were obtained and I accepted their price of $11,250. I got the impression that Tom had integrity and that his personalized roof installations were of a high technical standard. Adam, Jeff and the crew are also competent lovely people. Thanks everyone. There were challenges with skylight installations that I was mainly responsible for and it is in the face of adversity that a businessman shows his true colours. Tom was sincere, fair and accommodating and his attitude was deeply appreciated. He is personable and values customer satisfaction. I think that with Tom's professional and caring approach, maintaining customer satisfaction will continue to be his priority even years after a roof installation. Tom I wish you continued business and personal success.

Tom is the first (and only) roofer I have had who truly took the time to help me really understand what needed to be done and more importantly, what did not need to be done. Gave us a great referral for a company to replace my chimney (The Chimney Company). The two companies coordinated to make the whole project a quick, clean and very successful one. Best part is that Tom was on site with his crew the entire time making sure everything went well.

Very reliable, prompt, fast, and clean! These guys obviously enjoy what they do - (and each other)! It shows in the quality of work they do and in the way they work together as a team. The end result is a great looking roof that you can trust will weather all storms.
Even though there were 3 layers of shingles on the roof, which had to be removed before installing the new shingles, this team quickly and efficiently did the whole job in 5 hours, including the clean-up which was meticulous!
Tom and the team were all very nice, fun, courteous, professional and knowledgable.
Couldn't ask for better service, and quality. I'd highly recommend Mega City Roofing, and will definately hire these guys again for any other roofing job I need in the future!!!

I called two of the top Home Star rated companies. Only Mega City bothered to call me back. Randy, the Estimator was at my house within minutes as they were in the general area. I agreed to go ahead with Mega City.
Tom was polite, chatted and educated me on roof structures and shingle management while we watched the job being done. Not only did they do a fast and clean job removing three layers of shingles and installing the new shingles, Tom hunted down a mysterious leak I had in another part of the house and non-related to the job they were doing.. The water leak had eluded me for years and by using a hose over various sections, he found the leak. Tom also sealed some other areas identified as potential problem makers. He did not charge me for this extra service.
For which I am most grateful. He and Jean (seen in the photo I took) were a pleasure to meet. The crew impressed me as well. How many years have I searched for professionalism and honesty? Too many!

Very professional and thorough. Tom went over what was required (including replacement of skylights and updating roof vents) and the various roofing/insulation options available; he was always responsive to questions and concerns. A fairly large (multi-day) job was completed efficiently with great results. Problems that cropped up as the original flat roof was removed were promptly and successfully dealt with; other incidental work went far beyond what was expected.

Tom and his crew worked exceedingly hard throughout during difficult conditions (cold and windy) and the final clean-up was very thorough.
