Immediately upon taking possesion of home, several serious issues were identified. Builder took the position that he was untouchable and forced us to take legal action( still pending), causing us to spend thousands of dollars. It has been proven by the warranty provider that this home did not come even remotely compliant to Buiding Code. Even to this day ( approx 3 years after possesion of home), there are defects that continuosly surface.
For all potential new home buyers, consider a construction consultant to monitor the builders performance during construction, make this part of your binding contract. I would suggest retaining a construction consultant over a home inspector for obviuos reasons.
