New Home

After buying our first home from Greenpark in 2007 and impressed with their quality and workmanship; I am very disappointed with our 2nd New Home purchase with them. The quality in 1 month is bad compared to living in our previous home for 5+ yrs.
I invite any GP executive to come and checkout!

New House

I I choose Greenpark Homes “based on their prior excellent reputation, long history in the business and great customer service”. This is my third home with the builder (Last 2 were Mattamy & Lakeview). Greenpark rated EXTREMELY poor on all accounts a new home owner can rate on: No welcoming attitude, construction head was dealing with new home owners with his strong rough attitude, House was very dirty on moving day – incomplete with holes and no lacquer shine on the staircase, bathroom locks were not working, rough-in for laundry were damaged, holes (small and big) in drywall (they forgot few electric points under drywall – I guess), electric flickering, poor workmanship in dry walling, paint, stairs construction and staining. These are just a few to mention. Most problematic was that when called no one responded. From PDI day (which was just 2 days prior to closing till today (25 days after closing) no one showed up for any work inside the home. I recommended few friends to purchase their new homes in this area and now they continuously nag in-front of me about the builder. Lastly the people who deal with us at construction site do not have any cultural diversity neither they seem to be aware of it. In conclusion, I am not angry at Greenpark rather I am extremely extremely disappointed in them.

Green Park in Waterdown

Our house overall is fine and spacious. But the process was a PITA as we were delayed multiple times and the final time was past their due date to owe us, but was determined not their fault. The decor center being in Vanugh was very annoying, we bought in the Hamilton area, other builders have on site places to do this, but we have to drive over an hour each time during rush hour (which makes the drive even longer) to pick our stuff. Finally we got into the house and lots of (mostly minor) things wrong, especially the cabinetry, which was a huge mess and most are being replaced (not until I called and set up an appointment - wasn't done through our PDI). Overall process with Greenpark was annoying and put a bad taste in my mouth with them.

Newmarket

Definitely the worst experience from a new build that we've had as of yet.
Sales was fine....of course. They have to grab your money first.
Decor was a joke. No consistency in pricing, even with people who have the same home model and upgrade choices. It feels as though they just made the prices up as they went, hence the inconsistencies, because they can't remember what they told the last customer!
Many errors during construction....thank god we didn't listen to them about not entering the home during construction, because if we did, we would have had wrong tile in some rooms, as well as many other errors. They make it seem as though they are doing you a favour when you catch these errors and they fix them, but ultimately, you signed off on "legal" documents that they must follow...they will often remind you of that...if you want a change in something after your decor appointment, they refer to it as a legal document that can't be changed. That's clearly a load. So I would just throw that same comment back in their face when they made a mistake...."Well, you know, you must follow the signed legal document...". That would generally work.
After closing, 3 leaks in the first month, all from the master ensuite, into the kitchen. Among many other items that still need to be repaired. Our one year form will be extensive.
None of their employees understand concept of apology. If apologies were provided, and they were more professional in their approach with their customers, a lot of the headaches would be deflected.
They will call you when they need something from you, but if you need service from them, it's a game of telephone tag.
It's only a matter of time before bad word of mouth and proof of poor workmanship will hurt this company...unless they change their approach to customer service.
We love our floorplan and location...that's the one positive comment we can make about our home. Site supers/Managers at all levels need proper training. For a mature company, they come across as very amateur.

House

My sister was wanted to buy a house for the first time, and needed some help and guidance. We looked at about 8 different builders in the area, and settled with Greenpark Homes; based on their excellent reputation, long history in the business and great customer service. I was at the site every other day, or at least 2-3 times a week. I watched the builders and were very impressed. The foreman was almost always around, and everybody was very kind to me and answered all of my questions (which were a lot). I think that the decore center could have a few more upgrades as part of the basic package, but their basic options were just fine. We did spend a lot in upgrades anyways. My sister has been living in her house for 3 years now. And it is absolutely great, and has gone up in market price almost $175,000. I think Greenpark is the best of the 4 different builders that I have bought from. My next house will be Greenpark for sure!

love my new home

I just moved into my new Greenpark home and so far so good. I purchased it 2 years ago and its my first house. I would like to thank Candice from the decor centre who was amazing and soo helpful. My house was delayed my 6 months, but I understand that is very common. Right now I am settled in my new place to truly love it.

Copperhills

I bought a brand new home from the greenpark homes which is the Canada's largest builder, however, there were 3 leakages on the pipes within the first month. I took numerous of unpaid day off to wait for them to repair and I had to spent so much extra time to clean up the mess.

The after service department is messy and never follow up unless I contact them proactively.

Bayview Glen

Trying to get hold of GReen Park rep for there new project in Richmondhill called Bayview Glen, leaving messages with receptionist for the last three days and no one calls. I feel as if the purchase I'm making is for $568.00 and not $568000.00. Don't deal with them

New home by Greenpark

Our story is very similar to Tom's, there is not one room in our house that did not have issues. Kitchen, which was upgraded almost $20K was strached and their "fix-up" was with a black marker on BROWN cabinets. The marker is shiny and does not blend in. We had a hard time having them repalace the doors and even the ones replaced, did not match in shade so, we gave up and now have sratches. One items that has been a major issue for us is the metal decorative piece outside the window which is loose and bangs everytime it's a bit windy and thus, we cannot sleep in our room. For a year, i've been trying to get them to fix this - simple- replace or screw it in, and nothing, no response even after the lawyer got involved. Homeowners should know that they will not get any post purchase service. Go with anothe builder, even Mattamy is better as they at least try and resolve your issues

New Home in Valleylands Brampton

We saved our money and bought our first home. We were not told of procedure and protocol for choosing our brick colour and we were beat to the punch as a result. The staff at the decor centre are horrible. They are rude and make you feel like you're wasting their time. On Saturdays there is no one to provide pricing or detailed answers so don't count on it during "browsing". The decor centre is horribly set up and disorganized. They are definitely not service oriented. If you have the money and another builder is building a comparable home in the area you want, then don't go with Greenpark. You will save yourself stress, disrespect, and aggrevation. They speak to you like you have no brain at the decor centre.
