We live in an older home (45 years old). The windows had never been changed and were very drafty. The salesman (Kevin Kennedy) came over and was very knowledgeable and professional. He showed us a lot of options, not only to replace our windows but to upgrade the whole front of our house. He suggested enlarging the opening for the windows and replacing them with beautiful casement windows. We followed his advice and what a difference it makes to our home, both inside and out. The work was done smoothly, on time and with no surprises. We feel the difference in the heating in our house, the interior look of the rooms and the curb appeal from outside. We have had people walking in the neighbourhood comment on the windows. Mr Kennedy was available through the whole time the work was being done and made sure that we were satisfied every step of the way. I would highly recommend this company to any of my friends... indeed I have.

We put a new oversized window in our great room . We heard of George Kent from a friend and the salesman(Jim Mcgrath) came over and gave us a price. We were very pleased with the job he did and the installers. I recommended them to my son and they put in all new windows, front and back without any problems. My son is now getting 2new doors from Jim and his company.

We were leary about finding a good contractor but George kent came highly recommended by a neighbour that had work done by them 15 years earlier so we felt pretty comfortable. The work was outstanding and we were treated like family by everyone in the company.

My wife and I decided that this was the year we would invest in our home.
we decided that we will be staying in our home for a very long time and wanted to make it as comfortable and as nice as possible.
We knew this was going to be a big project so we started our research of different companies. We knew from the beginning we would be getting two quotes to do some comparisons. From past conversations with friends and family we knew that too many quotes made things very confusing.
George Kent Home Improvements came very highly recommended by friends who not only had their windows done by the company, but also their parents had windows done by George Kent 20 years previous to them.
The work that we were looking to get done consisted of windows, doors roofing, siding, sofit, fascia, eavestrough and attic insulation.
It was very difficult to find another company that would be a one stop shop like George Kent Home Improvements, so we had to venture out to a couple more companies. George Kent was not the least expensive company, but it sure was the most professional. My wife and I were quite surprised to find out that there were companies out there that could not provide us with valid WSIB and liability insurance papers.

Our salesman was very detailed and very professional, he took the time to answer our many questions over a one week period.
not only has George Kent been in business since 1949, we were very shocked to here how many of the employees have been there for 20 years plus. From office staff to sales staff to installers this only told us that the company must be reputable to keep their staff as long as they do.
Our roof was installed in June after many delays with rain, our siding and aluminum work followed shortly after that once again with many rain delays and our windows and doors followed shortly after that, with the attic insulation done in between everything. The installers were very clean curteous and professional. We had four different crews in our house doing their own specialty of work and could not give them more praise than writing this letter they were excellent.

It was also nice to have the company arrange financing for us, leaving our line of credit free for emergencies.

Our experience was a very good one with the venture that we took, from office staff, salesman to installers my wife and I could not be happier.
We have since referred a friend for a much smaller project and we were very surprised to see a cheque arrive in the mail for $50.00 for the referral.
We will keep recommending George Kent Home Improvements.

My parents home was in need of new windows, in the 3 upstairs bedrooms, and a side door. We appreciated that salesman John Nags arrived on time to provide a written estimate. He answered all of our questions and his suggestions for windows really suited the style of the house. The installer did an amazing job! We are very pleased with the windows and love the enclosed venetian blind in the side door window!

In 2005, my neighbour and I both needed to have our shingles replaced.

After speaking to four different companies and receiving the corresponding quotes, I elected to go with George Kent Home Improvements, mainly because of your Mr. "Nags". He was very knowledgeable as well as professional. He explained clearly, everything that the job would entail and gave me his "best quote" the first time. I remember him saying that it's what you don't see that makes a roof live to 50 years.

As it turns out, I made the right decision. Yesterday, my neighbour (who chose a different roofer) called me for your number. Her roof is leaking and it is only six years old. I did not hesitate to give your company a rave review and she assured me that she would be contacting you.

I should add that because I was so pleased with the end result of my roof replacement, I also purchased new windows for my home from your firm, again to my entire satisfaction.

We bought a very tired home in Mississauga and the first thing that needed to be done was window and sliding door replacements. The sales rep, Anthony Thomas, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and guided us through the process to ensure we made the best decision for our needs and budget.

When it was time to install a new side fence and gate and replace the three columns on the front verandah we didn't hesitate to contact Anthony to help us source a contractor and were delighted to learn that he and George Kent were able to help us once again. We love the new look to the front of the house.
