Outstanding experience from start to finish. We used Gemstones in the past for a small kitchen in my basement. Of course, we called them back for our main floor reno - which was a much bigger job. We met with Asad who gave us several options at a very good price. We were concerned about supply, so he called the manufacturer to secure 5 slabs before we even left his office. I gave a small deposit so he could purchase the slabs which was perfect.

With a couple of weeks, we were ready to have the installation completed. I had all my trades lined up and Riaz was very flexible in scheduling the installation. He came to measure and within a few days they were installing. Riaz sent me some great pictures of the veining that I could expect. Admittedly, I was not even thinking about how it would look so glad they were thinking for me.

For the installation, I was even more impressed with Shayan making suggestions that I had not thought of. As I did not hire a contractor, I was doing smaller parts of this reno myself. That included hanging the hood fan which was i going to anchor to the ceiling height slab. Shayan not only pre-drilled my holes using the template, but recommended replacing sections of drywall with plywood to reinforce the backing. He did this on my behalf which I really appreciated.

In the end, a beautiful job at a very good price. I'm happy working with Gem Stones and would use them again. Thanks very much guys.

Gem Stones installed our new granite countertops as well as a custom desk addition to our kitchen. We have only positive reviews for the whole process, starting with good customer service in the store, unbeatable prices, and a great job. The workers who came to install were professional, friendly, meticulous about the installation and keeping things clean. They also very patiently answered all our questions and did not leave until we did a look through of everything they had installed, cleaned and sealed and gave them the ok! Gemstones has a nice selection of material for backsplash and counter tops. However when it comes to workmanship, there is no pride in their work. I had to call them back to replace some backsplash tiles because there were some tiles that were cracked, chipped and a wall that was incomplete. This should have been noticed by the worker. If they would have checked their work all around, this wouldn't have happened.

I Ordered new granite countertops for my kitchen from Gem Stones and very satisfied with both the process and the result. From the very beginning the owners were very friendly, reasonable in price negotiations of the turn key solution for my order. the measuremens were done with the high tec laser equipment. The result - countertops were very well made, installation smooth and highly professional. Although they were interrupted by the power outage the day before installation they communicated this properly and we rescheduled the appointment later the same day. Installers were also very professional, very friendly, cleaned everything. Overall I'm very satisfied with my choice.

They done an excellent work. The prices were very reasonable. The y were very clean as well they were very professional. They were on time and they were very quick. The time working was one week, when more or less it takes one month. They gave us one year garanty. I will recommended to a friend or a family.

This company was fantastic to deal with.

We visited their showroom on Saturday, Feb 20 and after selecting a stone we liked, signed with them. We were walked through the various options for edging (we went with Ogee with a step-out)and even selected a new undermounted sink with them. We were told the turnaround was approx. 2 weeks.
On Monday, Feb 22 (2 days after we signed with them), they came out and did their site measure.
On Monday, March 2 (a week after the site measure), they came out and installed our countertops and took measurements for the backsplash. The following day (March 3rd), they returned and installed the backsplash.

Their turnaround was faster than stated and both Riaz (our salesman) and the installers were a pleasure to deal with. Riaz even came out after the installation was completed to ensure that everything was to our liking.

As for their workmanship...they did a fantastic job of hiding seams and matching the countertop with the backsplash.

I would highly recommend using them and would have no hesitation in refering this company to family and friends.
