We just had windows installed in two of our bathrooms – a custom decorative glass window and an acid-etched window (both wood). I have been impressed with the knowledge and professionalism at each stage of this process beginning with the sales person, Rose who was knowledgeable, resolved any concerns, provided great advice and was not pushy at all. I was pleased with the office staff (Francesca) who had excellent communication throughout. Ken completed the final measurement perfectly and the two installers (Igor and Ken) did an outstanding job. From a customer perspective, all these aspects are essential. We plan to replace a few other windows and our front door, however I wanted to be sure that Fieldstone Windows & Doors was the right company. Based on our experience we will definitely move forward with them as they have exceeded my expectations. Thank you to the entire team for a great job.

I‘ve worked with Fieldstone Windows before and, as a satisfied customer, came back to them to replace 3 more windows. From the first call with Rose, to the measurement check with Ken, through to the installation, my experience was excellent once again. Rose is very knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance on options, recommendations and things to consider in making my window selection, while Ken (the owner) made recommendations that ensured that the trim work would suit the style of my old home perfectly. Igor and Ken took the time to explain each step of the installation process, checking in with me at key stages, explaining the cause of past problems and then provided a thorough explanation of how to work with the new windows. They both had a keen eye for detail, were extremely professional & polite, and did a fabulous clean up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. In fact, yesterday, I did just that!

We have just completed the installation of 33 windows and the replacement of our front door, and we couldn't be more satisfied. We met with Rose Iavarone, our Sales Rep in late summer and she was fantastic in helping us chose the style and colours and she answered all our follow up questions promptly. Everything she promised was true: that they would reproduce our decorative window sills, that the windows would appear larger as there was less wood framing, and the handles/locks were a vast improvement over our old hardware.

Evgeni Laptev, our lead installer, ensured the window installation went exactly as planned over the span of some 4 days. The windows - Strassburger - are fabulous and a big improvement over the 25 year old, wood framed windows they replaced.

Ted Fleming installed our front door and did a fabulous job - it looks fantastic. He's conscientious, hardworking, and obviously takes pride in his work.

We especially appreciated the 'intros' Fieldstone provided prior to installation; we knew in advance who we were dealing with, what time they were coming and what prepatory was necessary.

I also have to express appreciation for the post installation clean up: in both installations (windows and door) the crew ensured they left us with little of any mess.

Overall, what could have been a very stressful event was seamless and without complication - just before Christmas too!

The initial meeting went very well. I thought I had communicated my wants and needs to Rose, the salesperson, as we walked around my house. She put a quote together that I quickly signed off on, as it met all of my criteria, including price and design. The install time given to me was very reasonable, as I imagine business is booming.

The installers were great. Clean, respectful and considerate. They did a great job.

The windows are nice. Good slide action, nice hardware, probably very insulating. There was an issue with the stops, which have yet to be replaced.

The problem arose when the installers were midway through the install, when I came around to check on the progress and noticed that despite thinking that I ordered black windows, the interior was white. I was very clear when discussing my vision with the salesperson during the consult. Apparently not.

To me, 'Exterior colour = black' means the exterior of the vinyl is black. Nowhere does it say 'interior colour = white'. It did say within the technical jargon 'base white'. To the layperson (or me anyway), that means it is a white vinyl base painted black. I did not see the need to confirm.

Now, I understand things happen. Miscommunications happen all the time, I work in retail, I get it. But when you spend over $10,000 on something, you hope you get what you want. I paid up front (lesson learned), and I received very nice windows, but they are not what I wanted.

I was surprised to put on the defensive over the phone, belittled and blamed for not knowing how to read the tech sheet on the quote. I was told "you signed the contract, therefore there is nothing I can do." I was hoping that a company with a reputation such as theirs would stand up and address the issue, but I have since been literally ignored.

I do not recommend Fieldstone simply for the appalling lack of follow up and customer service after they receive their check.

Our tudor style home is over 80 years old with most of the windows original.
As I used Homestars to choose Fieldstone, I feel it's important to "pay it forward"
Fieldstone is a very professional organization. Rose met with us twice and was very patient and helpful. For a sales rep she was atypical in the sense that there was no pressure, just information. She knows most people do not make an immediate decision and if they're interested, they'll move ahead with the project.
It was important to us to maintain the tudor integrity of appearance -which was leaded glass windows. Pewter inserts between the panes preserved this appearnance.
We knew we were going to pay a premium to receive premium windows with a superior installation. For that price we received exactly that. A few people who have seen the home from the street comment that it appears there was no change to the home. To my mind this is the best compliment. We didn't want the appearance to change.
Evgeni was an excellent installer. Our job took four long days and he was as attentive at the end as he was in the beginning. There was some minor damage to the stucco, but I asked Evgeni to caulk the area and it would be painted over next year.
Inside the home the impact of the change was immediate. It was so quiet. A definite sign of a superior window.
You get what you pay for and I believe we have.

We recently had 15 windows, including a custom sliding door, and 2 exteriors doors replaced on our 90 year old house. The installation of sliding door and exterior doors went back to the brick. The windows were inserts. We are very pleased with the quality of the installation work. Evgeni and his assistants take pride in doing their work well and the results show the efforts they take.
We chose Fieldstone for this project because we found Rose to be very knowledgeable. She gave us very useful advice regarding our options and raised questions which we had not considered, but which made the project a success. We have received many comments about how well the new windows and doors suit the house. Ken's suggestion regarding custom trim was the final touch needed to make our doors look their best.

Experience was great as it has been in the past. Your sales/quoting team was prompt and on-time to visit our house. Pricing was reasonable for the product delivered. On the date of installation your man was on-time and did a great job installing the window

Could not be more happy with the quality of the product or the professionalism of the installers. An excellent experience from start to finish. I'm sure it won't be the last time I'll work with Fieldstone.

I bought a brand new dream home in North York that I thought was perfect, but one day I noticed consensation in some of the windows. I called the window company that instlalled them, and quickly learned they had gone out of business for this very reasons. I found Fieldstone by word of mouth. Fieldstone came quickly, provided a fair price for high end windows and installed them seamlessly. the staff were pleasant and competent and process was was stress-free. I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend Fieldstone in future. In fact, I am as other windows are also starting to fail. I also used them to install a steel door to the cold room which has made a big difference to heat loss in the basement.

We used the Fieldstone becuase they came highly recommended by my friend who changed all of her windows/doors using this company.
The owner, Ken, is very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure my order was exactly as per the architect's drawings. Suzie, the marketing director is amazing. It's pretty much due to her outstanding interpersonal and professional skills that I decided to use Stonefield. I worked with the builder, who could have gotten different windows for me but I chose to use Stonefield due to the above mentioned reasons. Plus their price was fair.

The windows/doors were delivered pretty much on time with only a very small delay. The majority of doors/windows were in a good working order. No issues.
The sliding door supplied by the Stonefield has turned out to have a design fault. Stonefield promised to contact the manufacturer to resolve the issue. That has not happened to date. It's been approximately 6 months since I communicated my concern to them. I have sent numerous follow up emails but no answer cam back.
Also, one window has a manufacturer's defect. I have been repeatedly asking Stonefield if they would get me a credit from the manufacturer but it has not happened either.
In fairness they came to fix a couple of mismatched handle covers fairly promptly.
The Customer Service rep - Tancy - lacks basic communication skills and the product knowledge. She either asks the questions that she already asked before or simply doesn't respond to emails. To quote my husband's: Who is she related to?
The situation makes me sad for a few reasons:
I considered using this company for another project I had in mind for both supply and installation.
I really feel that the owner went out of his way to make my project a success but the incompetence of staff responsible for the follow up has really brought the overall impression down.

I am still hoping they will resolve things for me.
