I bought a couch and chaisse lounge at EQ3 in Yaletown from a very helpful sales agent. I was told delivery would be in 4-6 weeks. When I followed up with a call to the warehouse 5 weeks after the purchase was made and 1 week from the delivery due date, I was told that there was a problem with the fabric and that the furniture would not be available for 2 and a half months. Not only was I upset at the unexpected delay and the prospect of not having any furniture, I was taken back by the fact that I was not informed of this until I called the warehouse myself. When exactly did EQ3 plan on telling me? I was also alarmed that I was not told the fabric was not available at the time of purchase. When I went to EQ3 to work something out, I was told I could have "lender" furniture in the meantime and, as compensation for this mess, I would not be charged for delivery of the "lender" furniture. I quickly returned the items and went to Home Effects on 4th Avenue and Burrard after a referral from a friend. While the showroom is modest, I was given great service withy delivery of a custom made couch and chaisse within 2 weeks. I will never shop at EQ3 again!!!!!
