I had a fairly small move. There was a mix up in dates which was my fault but Narjes in the office solved everything in a few minutes. They were able to pivot to get things done. The movers themselves were quick, professional and friendly. The whole thing came in under the quote! A wonderful experience.

I used El Cheapo Movers to move into my new condo in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood in downtown Toronto. This is my 3rd time using the company. They are fast, affordable, careful and professional. I have a few antique and heirloom pieces, they always take extra care to double wrap them in moving blankets and both the movers and the office staff are very attentive.

These guys are the worst! It's all in the name CHEAPO! I booked a move with them and they are asking for a detailed itemized list of ALL the things in my storage locker. I have never moved with a moving company where they asked for that. One guy told me that the reason why they were asking was to make sure that they had enough time to move my things. I gave a list of things as much as possible, but I informed them I am sure I am missing some things. I even took a picture for them, called and emailed several times, each with a different person and each with different answers and with different information. I was moving storage items to a house and they are asking for a list of items from my condo and storage or else the movers can refuse to move it. Their customer service is subpar, confusing and unprofessional. I cancelled my booking with this company!

We booked El Cheapo movers for a short in-city move. We made the office and booking team well aware of our requirements in writing. The day of the move came and they showed up an hour late. One guy out of the three we booked came into our house. He quickly made the judgement that our couch was too big and we were not fully packed (stereo equipment was not packed as we wanted to bring that to our new home ourselves). The beds and cribs were taken apart and all of the things we wanted them to move was packed. They still had issue with it. They decided to take off on us while we were on the phone with their office never to return. They abandoned us in a point when we needed them and they knew it. They should be ashamed of how they treated us. Recommend you select another moving company who cares about their customers and treats them with respect.

El Cheapo put my belongings in the garbage without my consent. We signed a contract for our belongings to be moved from our home to a storage unit. Once the storage unit was emptied at a later date, we noticed that a huge antique floor lamp was missing. We called El Cheapo to inquire about its whereabouts and they claimed that we told them they could throw it away because the base was wobbly. The base was not wobbly. It was a solid brass lamp. It was a family heirloom, no one would have told them to throw it out. So just like that, El Cheapo turned into a junk removal company against their contract and takes it upon themselves to decide what is garbage. Do not trust this company. They then tried to give me money in exchange for my silence. Very unethical! I opted to share my story so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Had a really small job - needed to move a refrigerator up a flight of stairs. It was really heavy and in a tight space. Called around and everyone wanted their full rate ($300 - $500), except El Cheapo was willing to send a guy at the end of the day for a reasonable price. Really happy for the help.

I have used El Cheapo Movers for three different moves, the most recent was a move for my mother. The office assisted me with a lot of logistical support and the movers were professional and friendly. I couldn't help lift anything but they put the furniture exactly where I wanted it. I would gladly use the company again. Oh, and they offered us a senior's discount.

El Cheapo is one of the ONLY movers that I know of that have a 1 hour minimum for $150. This is perfect for small moves. I have used this company in the past to move just a carpet and recently just a stove from Bayview/Sheppard to Front/Sherbourne. They were able to arrive within my elevator booking windows which is already very difficult. Would highly recommend and use them again.

Incredibly friendly and helpful service both in booking/lead up and the day of. It was a tough move into a narrow townhouse, without street access, but they got it done carefully and efficiently.

I was impressed with El cheapo Movers right from my initial contact with the office. They are very professional and quick to respond to any questions. On the day of the move, M... and T.... were very efficient and careful with my mother's stuff. The move was very quick and we were very pleased with the price. I would definitely call this company for any future moves.
