Chouinard Bros Roofing

Chouinard Roofing were recommended to me by my neighbor. After getting multiple quotes from them and other companies, I decided to use Chouinards services - not because of price as they were in the mid-range, but because of how their Rep Krista dealt with me. She was personable, friendly and knowledgeable about products and services, and genuinely wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the products offered. The crew was on time, they cleaned up after the job and did a phenomenal job! Krista has since followed up with me to ensure I am satisfied with the work. I would definitely use them again.

We had the shingles on our roof replaced by Chouinard Bros in August 2014 and are very pleased with the overall results. The price for the job was reasonable and the work was completed in a timely fashion. We were not home on the day the shingles were replaced but upon returning we found the work fully completed and the mess cleaned up satisfactorily. Our neighbours who were home at the time and also getting their shingles replaced told us the work crew were efficient and professional. We have been contacted by the company and asked how things were and advised to contact them if there are any concerns. This job was only recently done and so far we have had no problems but as with all things, time will tell. At this time would recommend this company.

I have a full appreciation of the fact that roofing is not by any means an elegant job. I understand that it would be impossible to do without some mess, this would expected. However, I we were feeling pretty confident that the team would do a good job. This was not enitrely the case. My neighbour brought 32 stray nails that were on the yard where her child and dogs play, I had to pick up garbage every day, and I had to repeatedly request that a pile of discarded old tiles be removed from my door overhang. In addition to this, a newly planted garden bed, that I had covered with a small fence and coveing such that it would be clealy noted as a protected space, was blatantly trampled.

When I emailed my concerns, I got no reply in any form.

At the end, a portion of my roof was not completed. I called 5 times about this, and never got a reply.Though I did get a call asking me to play my bill. I did not, citing that I will pay when the job is complete. I still am awaiting the completion of the job. Very Very dissapointed in the customer service. Problems and glitches I can handle, poor customer service and disregard of cutsomer concerns is unacceptable, especially for such an expensive and important home service.

Ironically, I remain confident in the quality of the product and the job itself.

I hired Chouinard based on a recommendation and I'm glad I did. Scott provided me with a very competitive quote. He was sincere & knowledgeable and also suggested they could submit a claim on my behalf for the old shingles which should have lasted longer. The work was completed quickly and the area around my home was left very clean. I found them to be professional, reasonable and reliable. And I even received a refund as a result of the claim they submitted. I would use them again and would recommend them.

STAY AWAY FROM CHOUINARD BROS. We had them do work for our commercial building the contracts dated December 10, 2012 and April 2, 2013. Everything Chouinard was contracted to do now has to be redone. They replaced 6 Skylights, three are leaking, two have lifted from their base. We are told by three other roofers that Chouinard never put flashing around any of these skylights! It was as if they just dropped the skylights and left! Chouinard was to repair a seam in the middle of the roof and this was poorly completed. We had Chouinard remove the existing drain and install a new drain and they failed to place the required roof drain dome to prevent debris from entering the draining system. Chouinard has a salesperson who estimates the job and then they SUB-CONTRACT the work out. This means that you do not know who will be doing the work, when they will be doing the work or whether the contractor they are sending is capable or trustworthy etc.... Also, there is no project manager to make sure the work was completed correctly. Unfortunately, I am unable to climb onto the roof to check their work. Contacting their office when you have a problem, as I did when the first skylight lifted, it’s like dealing with a bureaucracy and they are extremely rude. We regret having used them!

Chouinard gets top marks from me. Finding a trustful company in this sector --with excellent after-service care-- can be very difficult; a lot of over-promising and under-delivering. But at Chouinard Bros, I found a company that actually cares about you and your roof. From the initial sales call with Krista to the roof technician Chris, it was a wonderful experience. They were very prompt and very attentive to details -- even nine years after they installed my roof! Great service, and great people. Just an excellent experience all around and I would recommend them to anyone.

I was lucky enough to have defective shingles installed 13 years ago (25 year shingles... ha!). The roofer went out of business, so when I had my first leak I stumbled upon Chouinard. Even though it was not their roof, they sent out someone to repair the roof the next day. He replaced several shingles and only charged $150. When the roof was failing fast, I had Krista quote the new roof. Before committing to getting the work done, we had another leak. This time there was no charge since I decided to give them the go ahead.

The crew that did the work were great. They worked 14 hours straight and finished the job in 1 day. They left the ground around the house very clean. They even fixed a broken rafter as a thank you for buying them a pizza (I was buying them the pizza regardless).

Solid, family run business that will be in business down the road should you ever have problems. Highly recommended. Ask for Krista... very knowledgeable.

Payment installments allowed w/o additional charges. Went the extra mile: quote rec’d in Oct, job done in spring, provided tarp over roof to stop leak.

Looking to receive three quotes from three different roofing companies, Chouinard Bros Roofing had the quickest turn around. I received a complete quote within a day. It also came in the at lowest cost. In addition, Chouinard Bros Roofing were willing to work out payment terms if necessary. My Chouinard representative/estimator/salesperson Krista, was very knowledgable and experienced. She had excellent skills that assessed the problems with my roof that had received heavy damage after the winter. The roofing team she sent out to my home were excellent. They worked diligently for two days straight and cleaned up after each day. I would highly recommend this company.
