Caesarstone for bathroom

Poor workmanship, even worse customer service. Our contractor had to return 2 products - shower niches - their size was cut incorrectly. Caledonia then phoned repeatedly to collect payment without an invoice, they were very disagreeable about my request for an invoice.

New kitchen Counters

We went with Caledonia marble for our kitchen counters. Their prices were good but you need a lot of patience to deal with them. Though very helpful, the two gentlemen who run the store are very old and don't speak much English. So that's where the patience comes in. Communication is key, especially when making such huge decisions. We ended up with a counter top that wasn't what we thought it would be, which we love, but it was shock when it wasn't as white as we had planned/hoped. It still looks great and in the end, the colour is better than the pure white we had planned for.

Marble kitchen countertop

We recently purchased a marble countertop for our kitchen from Caledonia Marble. Caledonia had the best prices and did a decent install job. Unfortunately, their customer service is terrible and working with them takes alot of patience. The store is run by an extremely old Italian man (Luigi) and his daughter. Luigi does not speak very good English and is very abrupt when on the phone. During one of my calls he hustled me off the phone before I was finished speaking in order to "take the other line". You cannot deal with the younger daughter as she defers everything to Luigi. After we went to the showroom to pick out a slab, I told Luigi that we would call him 1 day before the countertop installation was complete, so they could come and measure. I even gave him the date I would call. About a week before, he called me 4 times within a half hour period, without leaving a message! When I finally called back, all he said was "I thought you wanted the counter"? He seemed to have forgotten that we had no counters to measure yet. The day he was to come measure, he called a half hour before the appointed time to say that he wasn't coming until later that afternoon. Luckily, my partner works at home and could accommodate this! After the measurement he said it would take 2 weeks or less to get the counter. After 2 weeks and not hearing anything, I called to find out when our install date was. I couldn't get a straight answer and had to call back 3 times over a week to get a date. When the install date arrived, they thankfully arrived on time and got everything in and done within 2 hours. They moved our extremely heavy stove into place, which was nice of them. Unfortunately they also wrecked part of our new drywall when installing the countertop, which we will have to spend time patching up.
They brought us the sink cut out, which they had rounded off nicely into a cutting board.

I'm undecided whether I would ever use them again or recommend them, since the whole process was a complete hassle. On the other hand, the price was good and the finished job looked great.

Window sills

We recently upgraded two of our windows and wanted to finish them in style, so we decided on granite. We went to Caledonia Marble and found in the off-cuts section two lovely pieces (one Ghibli and one Kashmir white). They were cut and polished to our exact specifications and look absolutely lovely!

New marble for renovated master bathroom

We hired Caledonia marble to supply and install a new bath surround, shower threshold and countertop for our master ensuite bath. The stone was installed by a very lazy gentleman who applied the grout and let it sit on the surface around the joints for too long, staining the marble. We tried to contact the company with NO response from them and then after weeks of calling I had to pay for another company to remove the stained stone and put in fresh stone - it could not be fixed. It put my project back months. At the end of the day they still tried to get me to pay for that crap.
