Our apologies to Todd for the lateness of this review, but better late than never. We were first introduced to Button’s almost six years ago while looking at furnaces in the Trane booth at the Home Show. We had a few other highly rated companies from Home Stars quote a new furnace as well, but Todd was a wealth of information, helped get us the best refund from a government incentive and had the best warranty (included parts not just labour). He was also very personable and avoided any pressure tactics. Two years ago we were in the market to replace our hot water tank with a tankless system and for a new air conditioner. Again we received quotes from a few other highly rated Home Stars companies, but once again Todd’s knowledge, price and warranty were solid. For the tankless hot water system, Todd recommended running a recirculation line on the ceiling of our unfinished basement which the tankless system would periodically replenish with hot water to reduce the time for hot water to reach the faucets, something none of his competitors recommended. When replacing the air conditioner a new location was needed because due to the slope at the side of the house the previous homeowners had allowed the old one to be mounted on a metal brackets attached to the house, instead of it being on solid ground. When looking for a new location we didn’t want it in front of a window or showing at the front of the house, which were the best flat locations, but Todd told me to trust him, and in the end the installers placed it in a great spot.
