Great experience with Bortolo & Sons from start to finish. Lui gave a fair and detailed quote. The crew and all the equipment (a lot of it) arrived on time, and worked like clockwork to remove the old driveway and lay the new. We were very impressed with the knowledge and skill of the crew, the result, and also that they did it all in one day. Highly recommend.

Very impressed with the crew. They arrived at the agreed upon day and time. They all clearly had their roles to play and worked well as a team under the direction of Danny. The job was completed , including clean up , much quicker than we expected and we would not hesitate to use Bortolo & Sons for any of our future projects.

We had a curved exposed concrete path done and were thrilled with the workmanship and the professional crew. So pleased that we went with Bartolo & Sons for our asphalt driveway a year later. It was a very large and sloped concrete driveway - pulled up, good base put down and paved in asphalt in two days! Once again a pro job - great quality, professional crew with good equipment and traffic control, and done fast. Was not the cheapest quote we got for either job but we've done many renos and you can never go wrong with quality and reliability. Highly recommend this company.

Lui and his team did a fantastic job gutting out a grass area and cleaning up all the corners. We added a cement retaining wall with asphalt parking pad. We wanted to ensure there was space for more parking. In addition, Lui recommended us to clean up the skirt of our driveway, which I didn't think of. I'm glad it was recommended. Now we have parking for more than 2 cars in our highly dense South Vancouver neighbourhood. I highly recommend this company if you want precision, honesty, and fair prices. Lui will work with you to meet your budget. This is coming from a second generation frugal hong kong native.

I gathered 3 quotes for the job. Bortolo provided the most information, suggested 1 less expensive solution, was the most reasonable and they were able to book quickly. Our long driveway was a roller coaster of big tree roots, bamboo invasion, major puddles and water backing into garage during rainstorms.
I was hoping the job would be over within 3 days but this organized crew managed to arrive at 8 am and be totally finished by 4pm! They made a drain, sloped the length of the driveway to flow water away from the house.
Bortolo did an amazing job on a challenging piece of work. We are all smiles. And the neighbours left an anonymous heart of petals....

Lui's group did a good job replacing an old cracked concrete patio in our back yard under the sundeck. Because of slope of our lot they had to pump concrete, which worked very efficiently and they had it finished in no time! Mike and crew did a great job on the finishing of the exposed aggregate. I contacted four concrete contractors in the Vancouver area to replace my driveway and settled on Bortolo and Sons to do the work. It was an easy decision. Their responses were prompt, professional and knowledgable - in stark contrast to the other contractors I spoke with - some of which didn't even respond. I can't say enough about Bortolo and Sons - they did exactly what they said they would do, the work was done when they said they would do it, on budget, and the quality of the finished job was impeccable. Over the last few years, I have done many major renovations and improvements to my house and can easily say that this company was the best and most professional to deal with of any job done by any contractor I have dealt with in any trade. I would highly recommend their work.

Called Lui about our need for a new asphalt driveway, he laid out the process they use and came by for a quote which was pretty close to the final invoice. They did a good job, only took one day. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was a bit of debris and garbage (old parts from drain and workers empty coffee cups and water bottles) left behind after the team left, otherwise we are happy with our new driveway, thanks Lui!

I had gotten three quotes for my driveway replacement. Luis quoted me fairly which doesn't always happen being a woman. The crew showed up on time and efficiently finished removing and replacing my asphalt driveway in just a few hours. It looks great and I would definitely recommend him and his guys. Job well done!
